  1. Thanks for the info. Their repair facility in very close--in Long Beach. Will be installing a replacement newly ordered Kenwood Excelon H/U for my Pontiac Solstice GXP and once the D3 is repaired put that in my GMC Sierra. Feel the $200 repair, although not cheap, is worth the money given the unit still has some good life still in it and would be an improvement over the single DIN Alpine unit.
  2. One day the unit is fine, turn the car on the next and the screen has gone all fuzzy. Hit the reset buttom with a sharp pencil and it did not do anythign other than reset my sound settings. Unit still plays music but again, the screen is unreadable. Am I safe to assume this unit that is out of warranty will have to have the screen replaced and if so, any idea what that will cost? Can this only be done by Pioneer or are there any other service centers who can handle this? Sometimes the costs for repairs does not justify simply replacing it.
