  2. Things like this should be in a wiki. Anyone interested in starting one up?
  3. I'm really interested in getting pocketsnes going and usb drivers for a gamepad. I've tried a few things with no success. Until I got lazy I was going to get at the developer for help and compile a build for this unit. I'll likely get around to that after the newyear. I think for the most part the main issue in getting things to run will be lack of libraries and drivers. Does anyone know if using the windows mobile emulator is a good test bed for stuff like this, or is it just useful for skinning the UI? meaning, if the WM emulator includes libraries that wouldn't be on the avi
  4. Can anyone tell me how to remap the button which takes you to the leetlauncher menu? I don't like how it's currently the down button. I would much rather have all buttons have the normal functionality and have it so when i press and hold the 'menu' button it then takes me to leetlauncher. Ideally I'd want to remap three buttons. Pressing the job wheel will play/pause music instead of voice commmands. Holding menu will go to leetlauncher. Holding Map will go to voice commands. I couldn't fine any posts about this and I didnt see anything in the leetlauncher files where it specifies
  5. This is the one I got. I wouldnt necessarily recommend it because it's not meant for car audio, it's meant for home audio, but I got it for free. http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/31/rims ... oth-music/ It connects to the unit with rca cables in the back and is powered by usb, so I needed to get a usb cigarette lighter charger and modify it. So like I said I'd look for one meant for in car use. It works good, it just sucks that it's not built in. I had another deck with bluetooth streaming audio built in and it was awesome because I could use the deck's controls to change the music o
  6. Hi, Has anyone had success getting arm based windows ce apps to run on their unit. I'm talking about apps intended for pocketpc. I haven't seen any obvious forum posts about this. I am aware of the 3rd party gps apps but havent really seen anything else. In theory any wince exe's compiled for the arm processor should run, but I'm guessing a lot of required libraries could be missing. Currently I'm trying to get pocketsnes to run and I'm going to see if I cant get a usb gamepad to detect. Pocketsnes complains about missing libraries and google isnt bringing up the help im loo
  7. It's called transcoding. A2DP is designed to transfer a uni-directional 2-channel stereo audio stream, like music from an MP3 player, to a headset or car radio.[2] This profile relies on AVDTP and GAVDP. It includes mandatory support for the low complexity SBC codec and supports optionally: MPEG-1(usually includes MP3), MPEG-2, MPEG-4, AAC, and ATRAC, and is extensible to support manufacturer-defined codecs. Most bluetooth stacks implement the SCMS-T digital rights management (DRM) scheme. In these cases it is possible to connect the A2DP headphones for high quality audio.
  8. When it comes to transferring data from it's source (say dvd/cd/mp3) to it's output, digital is always better than analog for a few simple reasons. For the sake of simplicity I'm referring to an audio connection like rca vs usb or bluetooth. As well as a video connection like component vs DVI/HDMI. Even analog phone line vs. digital. Analog is just a frequency with no error checking/fault tolerance and is prone to interference. Where as a digital signal is packet based and has error checking (for the most part) it's true that a cable is a cable so the same interference an analog cabl
