I ended up getting one of the 15 digit passwords. I tried adding the zero in front of the password and it worked i was able to start the update.

Just tried the password again and got it to work. I had to add a zero to the beginning of the password and then I was able to start the upgrade.

I am having the same problem. My password is only 15 digits and I need 16. Guess I will have to call pioneer in the morning.
