  1. Hang on! This means you have a hacked EZrider for 3.0 ? Can you pls make that available? Thanks
  2. Hi, as you have been looking into the phone function more closely: Do you see a way to disable the pop up which blocks the Navi during a call? When I start a call on the mobile and enable bt while on the call, the call will fall over to the Pioneer without the popup which I think is much more practical as you can enter new destinations you may get during the call and you can access the phone keypad. Would be nice to have that without the workaround. Thanks Jörg
  3. Thank you very much for info! Unfortunately I'm having issues with TMC in my unit, so I'll have to revert back to OEM v2 software to make sure if problem is in software or hardware itself, in that case I can get it repaired as my Avic is still under warranty. I will continue with V3 software when TMC issue is solved. You have to look into your Sys.txt first line should be [device] type="PIONEER746EW" I assume your device thinks it is an US model at the moment Had the same Problem when implementing US mods under 2.0 let me know if it works Jörg
  4. +1. The caller id box is missing and would be nice to have it back. I also noticed while using the system this weekend that the volume box is alittle hard to see during the day with the color being silver. Any chance you can change that to the blue color the eq comes up with when pressed? That would make things more visible. Besides that great job and definately added to the new 8.3 features. It's like having a new unit! Question guys: You say that the black Window which pops up during a call is missing, does this mean you are able to operate the gui during a call? This would be awesome a
  5. It could be. We dont have TMC in the US. Take a look in your original SYS and see if anything about TMC is referenced. Does your SYS.TXT point to the European Versionn? Try this in the first line: [device] type="PIONEER746EW" or whatever is in your original SYS.txt Had this Problem before when using US Mods Hope this fixes it Jörg
  6. Languages USA: 1 Languages Europe: ? too lazy to count
  7. Because they could offer the firmware without igo8.3 and maps and now the firmware is compatible with igo 8.0 and the old maps. I see what people want. They want the glitches fixed for free and they shoulod get it free. Some if not all of the probs associated with the f-series are not caused by the igo software so why does pioneer feel they have to bundle a firmware update with a new igo version that is not compatible with the old maps and just leave it out. Then you would have a firmware update that did not require you to buy it because there would be no map and new software licensing fee
  8. On my computer it says "handsfree calling" not "dialing", anyway: No Voice control! It was propably to expensive to teach the system all the different European Languages. Given the fact, that that they have difficulties with the voice guidance in Europe (at least in Germany) that's propably a feature rather than something you want to be added rgds Jörg
  9. First of all thanks for testing Testmode 2.3, that's good news. I have one more question: Do we still get the annoying Pop Up during a phone call? Thanks Jörg
  10. Can you do us a favour and check if Testmode 2.3 works with 3.002? Thanks a lot Jörg
  11. They are dong it again 2008.10 Maps? We are Juli 2009 and I have seen 2009.02 Maps already 2 month ago. I'm happy to pay for an update if it is really up to date. I appreciate they have to do some more testing and developing, but wrapping it up with newest maps a coupple of days before they ship it shouldn't be too difficult. Jörg
  12. Map update is delayed in Europe until September (from Juli originally) as they still have to do more testing. 2.007 was withdrawn from the German site due to bugs with some destinations in Scandinavia. Verbal info from Pioneer Hotline Who the fxxk needs new maps after the holiday season? These guys can't get anything right. See you in September Jörg
  13. That is called smartzoom. Turn it off in settings. It's not smartzoom, which zooms in before a turn in 3D and 2D. You want to disable overview mode or whatever that is called in English
  14. Thanks for that, although I will not go ahead with anything at the moment in order not to mess it up completely, your answer shows there is light at the end of the tunnel. See you Jörg
  15. Hi guys, just to say it at the beginning: I'm just a user and have no programming skills. But I like a lot what you are doing here, have dpdursts DATA.ZIP installed and don't want to miss the nav mute and other features anymore. As you are all aware the 2.007 update in Europe and most likely the Map update in the US are blocking testmode. Has anybody of the geeks here looked into 2.007 already? I'm worried if I install it, that will close the door to Mods forever, on the other hand I need it in order to receive reliable TMC information and when the Map update is available in Europe I w
  16. That's fine with me. Updating maps costs money and the upgrade of the Nav software is woth something as well. YOu can't have everything for free and as long as the mentioned price of $ 70,-- or the € equivalent is realistic, I think one should pay for it. What I'm concerned about is the fact that 2.007 in Europe blocks Testmode and I'm sure the Map update will as well. My unit is so much better with the Mods I have installed (I'm using dpdurst's data.zip) and I don't want to miss the upgraded funtions they provide. So it is a real trade off: New Maps and Navi software with the promised per
  17. It is not so much the Maps, it is the Firmware and new Navi software that comes with the Map Update. And Yes: Here in Europe a couple of years make a huge difference: One way streets change direction, Streets get converted into pedestrian areas or complete new highways get constructed to avoid urban areas. I had the chance to look at the 2009.02 maps and in my area they make a huge difference to the stock maps Jörg
  18. That would be bad, 1) you have to pay for it 2) it only deals with the screen and the Nav, not with Bluetooth, contact lists and other bugs
  19. Typical Pioneer answer: Does she talk about 3.0 or the Map update? I'm sure it's the Map update so we still have no info about 3.0
  20. This fall or juli I was told July, but that's for Europe
  21. Thats truth as its written. And its a big mistage of managers to do development or at least project management to those countries. They dont care about that and have no idea what is important to get. and because of that we get a 2D North UP systems Its just sad that pioneer a company with so much reputation does not care about it as it did before. Of course the navigation part was written in Europe, and iGO is probably the most popular navigation software in the world (top 3 definitely)... and they never designed 2D mode to be used for anything other than route overview. That's why ther
  22. Very strange there is no link on the Pioneer US website to "CNSD-100FM Map and Operating Software Update for the AVIC-F700BT and AVIC-F900BT" as there is on the Pioneer EU website http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/products/25/38/301/CNSD-100FM/specs.html I wouldn't be too worried about the missing link, you have the roadshow next weekend and the updates are in Europe not available before beginning of July. Maybe Pioneer in the US just make one step after the other and avoid thousands of phonecalls to their hotlines for a product that is not for sale yet. Should be there next week or so
  23. You are paying for the Maps and the upgrade to IGO 8.3, but it looks like the price is the same as it used to be for Map updates. In addition there should be a free firmware update in the pipeline, fixing smaller bugs and maybe speed up boot time, but that is pure speculation at this point of time. As IGO 8.3 is said to be much quicker/ using less rescources, you can expect to buy (hopefully) significant increase in performance. But due to my experience with Pioneer I believe it when I see it. Jörg
  24. I wouldn't be too worried about the European price. That price probably includes VAT and other additional costs that don't exist in the US. There are a lot of products sold in the US that go for much more on the other side of the pond. I know it's off topic and may sound a bit jealous: This is the reason for the current turmoil in the world economy. Especially you guys in the US have been susidised to fuel economic growth. Fuel, cars, housing, clothing and consumer goods are either at a discount to world market prices or are financed without any security behind to back the loan. If the
  25. Infos i got from Pioneer today: The Update will be available in July It will be a customized IGO 8.3 They are working on a further Firmware update but no ETA yet Jörg
