Perhaps the fuse is blown or bad connection in the back, such as ground, 12v or the ignition turn on wire.

I am almost certain on the 2006-2010 Honda Civic's the dash above it is all plastic, no metal. I will check when installing the unit. Thanks for the replies guys, greatly appreciated.

I am thinking of putting the GPS antenna on top of the x930bt when in stalling it. This is going into a 2007 honda Civic. Curious if the signal will be good enough even though its under the dash but on a Civic the radio sits up high on the dash.

Is everyone installing the gps antenna on their dashboard? Few places people mention they just put it on top of the skin of the avic, wouldnt that cause poor gps signal since it will be inside the dash? Just trying to figure out best place for this since this is going into a 2007 Honda Civic. I will be doing the bypass mod but should I still connect the VSS wire? Any recommendations on a backup camera thats not too expensive, looking for less than $100?

Awesome, thanks for the replies guys. I just had to double check since certain websites said otherwise but I guess thats because of the bypass.

I will check with Dennis but I might not have made my question clear. This is not a mod I am talking about it. What I am trying to find out is if the unit can physically play dvd's or any video while the navigation is going. For example if I am driving along and I have a route planned in the navigation and I pop a DVD in and start watching, will the system interupt the dvd with route gauidence/intructions?

Okay thanks, I only asked because the website I am buying it from, www.sonicelectronix.com under the units specs it says: Navigation During Video Playback No I plan to do the bypass since its so simple and just wanted to make sure that I can run the navi and watch movies without a problem.

Looking for purchase an Avic-x930bt but would like to know if im watching a movie, dvd or through ipod can i still have the navigation going?

Wonder how that guy in the link made it work, doesnt look like he made any modifications to the dash.

so the trim bezel has to be chopped up and redone to make this work?

I really want to get the Z1 but im not sure if it will fit into my 2000 pontiac grand prix. The stock HU is a 1.5 din and right now i have an Alpine 7998 which is a single din HU. I want to put the Z1 in and i didnt know what needs to be done to make it fit. Any help would be great.
