  1. Is this the same 1loudls as on the LVC forums? I recognize the name. I'm in the LS forum too . Anyways, do you know why I wouldn't ground the orange/blk stripe? Is that going to affect the dimming of the screen? Cuz the other orange wire connects to the dimmer, and the orange/blk stripe says dimmer ground....One would think that needs to be grounded.....but then again, I am asking for help cuz I don't know
  2. Thank you. That's what I was thinking I was going to do with those two wires, now I'm sure I will. Any idea what the other wires are for? The orange w/blk stripe I figure I'll ground because it says it's a ground. But the others, I really don't know about. And why are there so many mutes?
  3. Like the title says I am installing a AVIC-f90BT in my friends 05 F150 today after work. I have already done a lot of research and figured most of it out (huge thanks to you guys!). But there are some wires on the Pioneer harnesses and the Scosche harness that I don't know what to do with. His truck system is very basic. No factory subs, no steering wheel controls, I'm pretty sure it is the base radio setup. Here are the pics of the wires and my notes and questions. I hope someone can help today? please? Harnesses laid out with the "extras" sticking out. Close up of the pion
  4. Thanks for the replys. Does anyone have pics of a custom install? Once I get the car back from the dealer, I'm going to pull the unit out of my 94 SHO (also a car they said it wouldn't fit in), and get to work on the lincoln. I'll post pics when I'm done. Thanks again. If anyone has pics or advice, I'll gladly take it.
  5. I have the 6 disc in-dash cd player. The books tell me it's a 1 1/2 DIN and the D2 is a double DIN. Anyone know if I can squeeze that baby in? I'm not against a custom install as long as it fits. Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance.
