  1. Took it for a drive and now I have radio whine - damn just when I get one thing fixed another problem
  2. So I grounded the break wire and thath fixed the warning for the parking break - The gps still thinks our address is down the street, does any one know how to remove or delete the pins (push pin looking things) on the map. Thanks
  3. I thought the mute wire trick was already done, but I will check. The thing is I had the unit in the Tahoe with the gmos-01 first and it knew exactly where I was, but the chimes were messed up (hissing and popping) so I took the unit out and switched to the gmos-04 and now everything seems to be fine except the nav location is wrong. Could the mute wire if wrong be causing it?
  4. Did what you said and took a step back amd found that I had the blue/white wire wrong - now everything works fine as far as the CD but, now I get the dreaded parking break messege and the nav thinks my house is down the street - any way to calibrate the gps? Thanks
  5. Went back to the first way I hooked it up and now the stereo is fine, but the CD only plays when the door is open and chimes sounding - let me just say this these wires look like a birds nest - don't know why this is givig me such a fit.
  6. 2004 Chevy Tahoe with Bose install if I hook the RCA speaker wires form the gmos-04 to the the output RCA's form the unit - chimes work fine, everything good except the stereo has to be turned way up to hear it (no Bose amp turning on - took it apart again hooked the RCA's form the gmos-04 to the regular speaker wires from the unit (green, green/black - grey, grey/black, etc.) now the stereo sounds loud enough, but the chimes are messed up and the speakers when the unit is first fired up hiss in a per speaker each circle as if an amp is trying to start up (its not right) any help would be appr
  7. Thanks for the help - I am checking with the supplier I got the units from and we are trying to work it out. I think the gmos-01 is the wrong harness and will probably have to change it to the gmos-04 harness. Thanks again everyone....
  8. I used the GMOS-01, The Tahoe has Bose but no onstar.
  9. O.K. - So I installed a 700BT in a 2003 Chevy Tahoe, did the bypass everthing is working great with some sound problems. There is a hiss when changing things with the touch screen and when the door chimes (lost some of the door chimes though when using the fob to lock the car) or direction voice is sounding. It almost sounds as if when those are activated the volume is to high or something, the other thing it is doing is when the door is open and chime sounding, if I take the key out of the ignition it cracks and pops. Any help would be greatly appriciated, other than the above mentioned probl
