fyi vws radios are always getting power even when the key is not in the ignition. they are designed that way. i work at a dealership and every used vw we have had works like this.

is there anyway to use roxio or nero to burn a cd of mpeg 4 protected files? when you buy songs on itunes they are in this format and roxio wont burn them.

i tried searching the forums but cant seem to find any posts discussing this. crutchfield says 200cds will fit on the harddrive. is this accurate? how can u check the amount of space u have left?

i have read the wishlist thread for the z1 and after only owning one for 12hrs, i agree with most of you guys on the areas that need improvement. but i have to say being a former owner of: an alpine cva 1000 clarion vrx925vd pioneer n1 and most recently an eclipse avn5435, the z1 is as close to perfect as i can expect. it really is amazing.

sorry but im a newbie. does resetting the unit clear the harddrive of all the music i have saved? what exactly does resetting the unit do? clear the presets for amfm sirius etc? eq settings? phone book? nav address book?

you can get a new bezel from any jeep dealer that will work for the factory nav system and metra makes a kit to fit a double din radio in this opening. your jeep has a din and a half size radio. the z1 is double din and jeeps rec nav unit is bigger than double din. the bezel is less than a 100 and the kit about 30.

i just got my z1 installed today and i think my installer did not hook it up the right way for the bypass. my manufacture date is march 06. if i have my e brake on everything works fine, if i try the headlight flash should my ebrake be on or off?? if they grounded my ebrake wire when they shouldnt have that would cause the bypass not to work correct? thanks in advance for the help.
