Hey guys, i bought my avic used and i just updated the 2008 maps.I have one problem. I was trying to use the navigation but i dont nkow how to set the gps to know wher emy location is at? When i set an address, it will start from an address thats 30 mkiles away from me to to my house...etc. basically i dont nkow how to set it so that the gps will know where my location is...When im driving and im in map view..the arrow on the map doesnt even move in my location it just stays still. Its weird......i dont know how to set up this goddman thing i did a reset but its the same crap.. Please help guy

anyone have an extra audio video harness? The one with the white connector? I need one asap! Mine is screwed up!

ok guys, i just installed the avic d3 in my 2008 Audi A4 ,but i have some problems. My rear speakers & factory subwoofer doesnt work. I tried everything and couldnt get those two to connect. I couldnt find which wire to tap into. Also, how does this unit even turn off? I know that you can turn it off from the menu but is there any other way? Also, the Menu, Map, Track buttons on the left of the unit are always lit up? How do i wire this so it will turn off with my lights. Please help! Thanks. Also, did you need a special adapter or did you guys just tap into stock wires. I am using the

Hey guys, i purchased a burned copy of the 2008 west maps from a user on here. My avic plays burned dvd movies, original copy dvd movies, but it wont play the maps dvd(burned copy). How could that be? Any alternatives? Please help.

no luck, we opened the top and couldnt see anything. I'd rather return it because if we open it and if its something not fixable..They will probably know that i opened the unit and not exchange/return it at all.

i tried the reset button, nothing changed besides the fan. The fan runs like pulsing _/\_/\_....when i press the reset and hold it the fan will run steadily normal. I bought this for $240 and do you think i should return it or get it fixed by my dad(electrical engineer) he fixes car stereos and does electrical work for a living.

Yes, it is giving full 12 volts. I even tried the battery on my car. Where is the reset button located?

Hey guys, I just got my Avic D3 that i purchased off ebay. I have a 12V battery in my room and i connect the Red+Yellow Wire to the Positive Side, and i put the black wire to the Ground (-) negative side. The fan on the D3 comes on and the display or lights dont come on either. I just want to test it on my 12V battery before i buy the dash kit and everything. I want to know everythings functioning before i install it because if it isnt i can just return it to the seller. Also, i tried connect the Illuminator to the (+) and that didnt help. The fan just comes on but nothing. Any ideas? What sho

Do you really need those lead wires? On the wiring harness it came with, i see a speed sensor and reverse wire...
