as of right now, i have a 2.0 blue theme.

im still at 2.0 thats why. 3.0 is confusing me =( i can send it to you later but your gonna have to give me your e-mail.

i cant part with my 2.0 for that reason... i put too much sweat into it. but i see that some people are trying to continue my work.

All you have to do is add two .bmp images into your TEL folder in your image.res file and it is good for 3.0! That is it. I have just completed a TOTAL BLUE THEME which has coloured buttons backgrounds for FM/AM (the gray was just too plain), etc.. It was time consuming but not at all difficult. The 3.0 update is not that different than the 2.0 and you get a lot more benefits like a faster response, and new maps (a must).

hey i have a darker blue theme... i think i can post it up later on sunday. im so out of the loop with everything but i can research and get back into it again.

Have installed it and have some feedback for you:

 

1) I can't see the sky in the 3D view, do I need to add anything to sys.txt?

 

i love the old GTI style, meaning that the whole screen is focused on information only. I dont understand why people like to see the sky so much in the navigation unit because you loose street information and street names are a lot less too.

 

maybe its just my opinion and my opinion only and i dont want to bash on anyone else.. but if i want to have a view of the sky, my car should be able to fly or something and there better be a couple of Taco Bells floating in the sky i can set a destination to (then sky-view would be useful right?). other then that i rather have as much information on the screen as possible. but thats just me, it floats my boat.

 

so Segler... you if make a GTI-like mod, please give us the option of having land-view and sky-view.

the 3.0 official and unofficial and the 3.01 cracked and uncracked confused me soo much that it turned me off from this site.

i actually seen people on this forum, installed the hacked 3.0 then uninstall it to install the official 3.0 from pioneer. I think that is what threw me off. why?

okay, I helped made the apple red theme, i also have the blue theme and i went online to 411 and foudn out there is a new 3.0 update. im excited, but as i read more there is different versions. so now im totally confused what to update to so i cant make a 3.0 update for my red theme that so many people has been PMing me about.

looks like i might have to update CMH's, and Matt's with the 3.0 and also throw in the blue theme but I think Yetta has taken care of some of that for me. thanks man! and yeah lets collaborate. you are a total time saver dude. I thought i might have to do more research and late night programming and editing again. (My computer is still trying to recover from the mess i made cause I got files, images and icons ALL OVER THE PLACE lol)

QUESTION: Yetta, is it with Matt's Mods? or just the red theme alone?

if your re-zipping up a data.zip, its easier just to drag and drop the files in. it will work 100% of the time.

Anybody know when the "TOTAL RED APPLE Navi menu....CMH" Phase one download will get reposted? I had to go back to the regular color because of all the changes CMH made to his AIO. Right now I just have Phase 2 on my unit and I have just been waiting for the repost of Phase one so everything is completely red again.

I didnt repost it back up yet... lol sorry.

CMH updated it and i got a little lazy. I should jump on that tonight.

You need to go into each of the sub menus for the categories and select to turn those off also.

I have a problem... i turned my POIs on for a little bit to see how i would like it. and restaurant icons came up and its a little too cluttered for me. So now I want to remove them... here is the funny thing... when I go back to VISUALS> MANAGE POIs> RESTAURANTS> OFF... then i go back to map... its still there. WTF? i tried it over and over again and the off button doesnt seem to work.

help?

Good work bro, Glad to see my months of tests and designs worked out. I like what you did with the numbers buttons too. I should have thought of that.

 

Once I got to where I was happy with mine I totally lost interest in moding.

hey man, i gotta hand it to you bro. I i pretty much picked up where you left off... did you see the Navi menus and stuff? I pretty much had to redo everything in data.zip almost from scratch and to make it match. its gone a long way.

i might be doing other colors as well... not sure yet.

I know that it is red already but whenever I download it changes the menu to something I really don't like very much. I basically want everything red except the menu from CMH's AIO download. I didn't want the Pioneer menu, the Apple menu or the Fireworks menu. I hope that explains it better. Right now all I have been able to add is the red theme for my navigation but held off on the phase 2 until I figure a way on how to keep CMH's menu.

YEAH I think i understand you now... that IMAGE RES is not CMH's thats the GAGU theme, the menus in front is like changed up to have a cell phone and a car or a huge compass or something. i think i can do that but there isnt a big demand for it. ill have to do it later tonight or so. PM me your e-mail and ill send that over and i will do it whenever i can. Your talking about the menu screen when you actually press the menu button.

Sounds Good! I know what you mean with the updates happening really fast. I believe he just updated it again today but If I'm not mistaken he said it is for the last time. Both of you do great work and have made my unit much more enjoyable to use and look at. Thanks anyway!

what did you mean by phase 2 to be all red? because it pretty much is all red already...

if you want CMH's blue boxes then thats phase 1 and i would basically have to drag and drop the old boxes in there while keeping everything. is that what you mean? Cause part 2 is basically the Sound and Video stuff. part one controls all the Navi.

Blue accent on the bottom bar

blue touches are more vibrant and a darker hue color so you can see the letters better instead of it blending in.

retains the same style as my red theme, control buttons are gray in the center while color touches are top and bottom.

I know ford mustangs have a blue lighting interior so this might work with those cars nicely.

I dont know how many people are interested in this but its for my friend... he has a red instrument panel and he wants a blue Avic unit.... (dont ask cause i dont know). I may work on other colors as well... but i might not. this is time consuming, im not getting paid for the time or work, and i have no use for other colors (green, white, yellow, orange) they dont match in my car. I only did red because it was for my car and i was happy to share it and blue cause i owed my friend.

as long as they are transparent and your happy, then thats good. but your sure right? cause im looking at the picture with the gray boxes and i cant see anything behind them. but the blue one is still see through.

Hey superman! Do you think you could do a phase 2 for me in red but keep CMH's menu the same. I love the all red but all your phase 2 downloads change the menu and like I said in my earlier post I'm in love with the menu from CMH's All In One download.

One thing i can do is give my picture files to CMH.. since he is updating them faster then i can check it. but yeah i can do that.

right now, i gotta take his file out... people are saying its corrupted while others are using it okay. ill have to repost with his latest files or i just hand my stuff over to him.

Thanks so much Superman for this theme. My F90 looks so much better now. I had the D3 which gave you some options to change skin colors, so I was disappointed when I got the F90 and found out it didn't have those options. Thanks to all of you geniuses on this forum that help us enjoy these systems so much more! I know it has been said before, but I don't know why Pioneer doesn't try to hire some of you guys to design their stuff. Thanks again for your hard work.

hey no problem, I was disappointed too because the original skin was ugly, buttons were dugged in. I was so glad i was able to mess with this and now im completely happy with how my unit looks. it prefect to me now.

Now i just posted up a new pic... sampling CMH's latest mod. and i gotta tell you, it looks great. the red boxes will have a different look to them though when placed on a different background. my experience is that it looks best with regular pioneer red day or night red schemes.

ill be working on a blue one soon... my friend has a red interior car but wants a blue theme for some reason... difference of opinion. whatever floats his boat i guess =/
