as of right now, i have a 2.0 blue theme. im still at 2.0 thats why. 3.0 is confusing me =( i can send it to you later but your gonna have to give me your e-mail.

All you have to do is add two .bmp images into your TEL folder in your image.res file and it is good for 3.0! That is it. I have just completed a TOTAL BLUE THEME which has coloured buttons backgrounds for FM/AM (the gray was just too plain), etc.. It was time consuming but not at all difficult. The 3.0 update is not that different than the 2.0 and you get a lot more benefits like a faster response, and new maps (a must). hey i have a darker blue theme... i think i can post it up later on sunday. im so out of the loop with everything but i can research and get back into it again. no o

wow hey... you got it to work and it looks pretty sweet! i wish i helped out more but im still at the 2.0 days... the 3.0 official and unofficial and the 3.01 cracked and uncracked confused me soo much that it turned me off from this site. looks like im gonna have to be PMing you questions about this mod now.... LOL! did you do the other parts too? the phase 1?

i actually seen people on this forum, installed the hacked 3.0 then uninstall it to install the official 3.0 from pioneer. I think that is what threw me off. why?

so if they are the same, then why are people buying the update? and yeah ill do it. im kinda a perfectionist. I have the color blue and maybe some more colors on the way. just when i confused about this whole update mess... they throw in the 3.01 update in there as well. so does that mean that if i make the themes i will have to... have versions of the red and blue theme. 2.0 (for those that didnt update) 3.0 (for those that updated and stopped there) 3.01 (for those that updated further)

okay, I helped made the apple red theme, i also have the blue theme and i went online to 411 and foudn out there is a new 3.0 update. im excited, but as i read more there is different versions. so now im totally confused what to update to so i cant make a 3.0 update for my red theme that so many people has been PMing me about. 3.0 official from pioneer with SD card. 3.0 hacked then 3.01 can someone clarify? and if i do it the hacked way... does that mean we cannot get updates from pioneer? right now, im at a total halt until i figure this out.

if your re-zipping up a data.zip, its easier just to drag and drop the files in. it will work 100% of the time.

I have a problem... i turned my POIs on for a little bit to see how i would like it. and restaurant icons came up and its a little too cluttered for me. So now I want to remove them... here is the funny thing... when I go back to VISUALS> MANAGE POIs> RESTAURANTS> OFF... then i go back to map... its still there. WTF? i tried it over and over again and the off button doesnt seem to work. help?

hey man, i gotta hand it to you bro. I i pretty much picked up where you left off... did you see the Navi menus and stuff? I pretty much had to redo everything in data.zip almost from scratch and to make it match. its gone a long way. i might be doing other colors as well... not sure yet.

YEAH I think i understand you now... that IMAGE RES is not CMH's thats the GAGU theme, the menus in front is like changed up to have a cell phone and a car or a huge compass or something. i think i can do that but there isnt a big demand for it. ill have to do it later tonight or so. PM me your e-mail and ill send that over and i will do it whenever i can. Your talking about the menu screen when you actually press the menu button.

what did you mean by phase 2 to be all red? because it pretty much is all red already... if you want CMH's blue boxes then thats phase 1 and i would basically have to drag and drop the old boxes in there while keeping everything. is that what you mean? Cause part 2 is basically the Sound and Video stuff. part one controls all the Navi. *EDIT* ALSO my next project... if you guys didnt know Blue accent on the bottom bar blue touches are more vibrant and a darker hue color so you can see the letters better instead of it blending in. retains the same style as my red them

the warning? i dont get a warning when i back up... do you mean the thing on top that says "WARNING, IMAGE MAY BE REVERSED?"

as long as they are transparent and your happy, then thats good. but your sure right? cause im looking at the picture with the gray boxes and i cant see anything behind them. but the blue one is still see through.

lol yeah i see it. still blue. trying to make it grey now? i think that is infobg.bmp remember when changing these... are you still keeping them transparent looking so you can see the streets behind? like keeping the alpha channels?

One thing i can do is give my picture files to CMH.. since he is updating them faster then i can check it. but yeah i can do that. right now, i gotta take his file out... people are saying its corrupted while others are using it okay. ill have to repost with his latest files or i just hand my stuff over to him.

hey no problem, I was disappointed too because the original skin was ugly, buttons were dugged in. I was so glad i was able to mess with this and now im completely happy with how my unit looks. it prefect to me now. Now i just posted up a new pic... sampling CMH's latest mod. and i gotta tell you, it looks great. the red boxes will have a different look to them though when placed on a different background. my experience is that it looks best with regular pioneer red day or night red schemes. ill be working on a blue one soon... my friend has a red interior car but wants a blue theme fo

maybe 1 min at max but 2? that is too long... check to make sure you have the newest 2.0 updated version. radio and ipod starts up at 30 seconds. you can hear it work faster.
