yes it can, just by changing the hue of the pictures... but i kinda like having everything color coded. like green means go, blue is contacts, and yellow is audio and video. but if you want those changed out to make a completely red theme then sure i can do it. each to their own style. since this is only a change of 6 pictures... and you still wanna do it, then pm me and include your e-mail.

that looks like a simple bmp picture right? i think... it was saved as a different format. if you want to view it can you try Ipaqx image explorer. it lets you see E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G thank me later but love me now

Warren? what warranty? when you send the unit in, they only want the unit and not the harness so they cant even tell. just do it. its give you more options, and if you dont, then eh the world moves on. i love you mate

So it sounds like I need to save the bmp with alpha channels and in 24 bit mode. I totally understand the trial and error thing. it is sort of what I have been doing. I am getting sick of running out to the car to see what I messed up in the latest mods. I am thinking of pulling the unit and bringing it in the house by the computer and power it with a 12 volt adapter. what are you trying to do exactly? and alpha channels are hard to do, very unforgiving. Dont take out your unit. thats a pain in the butt too. good cardiovascular exercise =)

I like it. It does take away some glare when driving down the road when I don't have GPS on. your right about the reduction of glare at night, in WWII, American dog fighter planes at night picked red exclusively to light their instrument panels. My unit did restart on me today. I am not sure if it was the image file or my hacked Samtts. I put back the stock samtts file and now your new image and I we'll see what happens. Thanks a bunch!! wow wow i got a lot of questions to answer. lets see here... crilleym- 1. are you using my zip and the latest one? version 2.2? because those black boxes are not suppose to be there. IF you are then i think i might have to make a 2.3 soon LOL, I have NEVER seen the Sirius screen before but it looks good though. Considering what it looked like before. 2. And yes i actually think you can use my red transparent outlines for the navi map actually, not that im looking at it, they use the same boxes! on top of that, the red buttons on the side are not even used so it shouldnt even matter. I will certainly give that a try... but for some reason that particular direction to change the color does not look familiar to me. its frustrating knowing that you did something and not sure how you did it. ill give it another try or so.

JLEA, YES i found the file diricon.bmp in data zip and i changed it to yellow. first off, i should apologize for version 2.1... everything on that will show up perfectly cause i pretty much looked at every screen carefully. version 2.2 is the final evolution I promise that. so delete the other 2 now. this has an updated vr screen when your in voice command and say "show all artist". This will work with CMH or any other mods no problem. All you are doing is replacing the skin of the stock unit. Here is the deal, Ive done it before, and i forgot how i did it because i thought i would never have to touch that file again. now there are updated ones out there, CMH, GTImatt's, I dietrying... and now when i put a new Data.zip it might overwrite my arrow mod ive done. I looked at all the UI files (there is a lot and lots of code inside them) and i searched this tread using "arrows, sprite, car" maybe im not looking in the right direction? help a brother out.

Hey dont even worry about it, im working on the final one. The show all artist screen for the ipod is a blue box that looks like the VR screen... i want to remove that and put in something more classy.

Is yours transparent though? careful with that cause alpha channels are tricky. Ha... you saw through that too huh? yeah i took that teal looking thing out by changing the color of the arrow in DATA.zip. Its one of the notepad files. I'll look for it and post it up tonight, you gotta change the color by html colors code. I even edited the size to make it about 20% smaller too since it really consumes the screen up.

Okay so I have been questioned, PMed, asked, and sometimes even haggled about my files about changing the color of the navi screen to red. Here are sample pics...
