Sorry just realized this has been covered a few posts ago.

Something interesting related to this... I have noticed that when I start up the AVIC, if it has been left one some screen other than the map (ipod, fm, etc) I can get into the map without having to press "OK". All I do is make a call with my phone through the bluetooth, then after I hang up, the screen automatically goes to the map. This happens every time I do this in that order. Then, while I am on the map screen, I can press the "MAP" button and the safety message will pop up with the "OK" button. Don't know if anyone else has experienced this or if it might give some insight in

You don't need to include any of the firmware upgrade files. You should be replacing your data.zip with a modified file. You do this by putting your machine in test mode, which is explained here... http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18977

Maverickster, FYI -- I did change the navigation.current_altitude to gps.elevation and now I am showing feet instead of miles. sweet Wonder why your edited data.zip file was showing miles for me -- that makes no sense.

I have this data.zip file and everything works great. The one problem I have is that my elevation shows up in miles (.4 miles, .5 miles, etc). How do I change this to feet like in your screens?
