  1. Thank you...that's what I thought I just wanted to be sure.
  2. Question...I had a car stereo place install my Z120BT stereo. I'm going to do the hack after the fact...I'll move the mute wire over one slot and ground it and the parking brake wire to ground... So my questions is this...I don't know if the stereo place attached my parking brake wire according to original install instructions..do I just cut that wire and ground it?..or do I leave it how they installed it and ground it? Thanks in advance! B.R
  3. YouTube..SWEET! Thanks!
  4. Hey Gang, I'm about ready to buy the Z120BT and want to do the hack. I've read the "how to do it" but didn't see any images for the wiring harness. Are there any images for this hack so that I make sure it's done correctly? Thanks! Robert
  5. Thanks guys...looks like I'll be buying the X910BT next week. I'm not interested in the X920BT cause the GPS stuff looks different...? Robert
  6. I'm bummed and pissed at the same time. I had my van broken into last night and someone stole my F900BT..ripped it right out of the dash. I know this may sound lame, but this was the nicest stereo I've owned and we've used it for many road/camping trips...watched lots of vids and had good time watching movies at night with the stereo. I don't know if I'm going to replace it or not. The damage has been done. I'm thinking of buying a cheapy. Maybe time will heal this gut wrentching feeling. -RT
  7. Yeah I found it weird that the phone would all of the sudden start turning on and off cause of the bluetooth.... But here's the update! The new phone is working again.... She erased the bluetooth connection from both the stereo and phone and then reinstalled it. Seems to be working again for now
  8. Thanks for the tips....I haven't tried her phone on my stereo yet...this all just happened this morning so I'll give it a try this weekend.... Thanks!
  9. Seriously! I bought 2 F900 stereos from the same place...one for my car, one for the girlfriends car...both were upgraded to the new 2.0 before install from factory rep....both were installed with the hardwire bypass...both were installed by the same installer. My stereo works great with my cellphone via bluetooth...no issues whatsoever. My girlfriends stereo keeps screwing up her first cellphone.... when the phone was near the stereo via bluetooth, it would turn the phone on and off. The phone did work correctly for about two days prior to this. She got a second new identical cel
  10. Excellent! Thanks for all the input Robert
  11. I'm getting a remote start for my van this weekend. I've got the F900 already installed with the hardwire mods. I'm wondering if there would be any issues with this remote setup? When I remote start the van, I will eventually have to insert the key into the ignition and turn it....will this turn the Avic off or do something funky to it? Just wondering.... Robert
  12. Question on the term "Brick"... I've searched the Forum and I don't see a clear definition of what "Brick" means? It seems something like a bad mod and the unit freezes? If "Bricking" happens, is the unit toast? Can't you just reset it somehow and start from factory specs? I'll be doing my first mods here soon and I just want to make sure I understand this.... Also... What is the most common cause for Bricking? How does someone avoid Bricking? Thanks in advance! Robert PS Just bought my girlfriend a F900 and had it installed yesterday with the hardwire bypass...sh
  13. Ok...just did my first hardwire bypass and everything went great! I originally bought a F700 and I decided to upgrade to the F900 for the video capabilities. I wasn't sure if I would be able to use the existing F700 wiring harness. I was. The only difference between the F700 harness and the F900 harness are the following... 1) The F900 has the pink wire for the VSS. I removed it from the new harness and installed it in the appropriate empty slot on the existing harness. 2) The F900 harness also has a RCA rear monitor output wire...the F700 doesn't. Robert
  14. Great job! I'm saving this page for when I get my F900 and do some modding...
  15. I may have found my answer after an extensive search... Thanks anyways...
