    I believe that the HD3 is a european unit... so the maps listed here will not help you. You would need to get the european maps. I'm not sure you can put US maps on it from a Z3 image. As for bluetooth... I would think you could buy the bluetooth unit (the Z's do not have it built in)... I think the difference is in how the tuners are... different frequencies for different countries... all of this is a guess as i'm only familiar with the Z's.... that is probably why no one is responding! we are all used to Z1-Z3's Please take all this with a grain of salt as again.. i'm only guessing :)... hope it helps!

    I have a major problem which i am hoping someone on here can help me with, or point me in the right direction.

     

    I had a Pioneer AVIC-HD1BT in my old car which i was selling. I obviously wanted to keep all of the music that i had imported over a 4 year period so i took out the HDD and copied everything off of the drive on to my computer.

     

    Once i done this, i found that it wasn't as easy as just opening up the files and then play them. Does anyone know how i can convert these so i can then import them into my new car? I no longer have a Pioneer head unit as the new car has a built in system with internal HDD.

     

    By the looks of things they are not normal AT3 files as all of the AT3 converters out there on the net do not recognise them.

     

    Any help on this would be much appreciated.

     

    Sorry.. can't be done to my knowledge. It is a proprietary format. no solution has been found.

    I have not tried on GTO... but I did try it on a Toyota Tundra... it's very nice... I did not even have to program it... the module detects which car it is and which radio it is talking to... and programs itself (again in the US... not sure about UK ... though wouldn't see why not)... I think the only bad thing is that with the ZX (z1,z2,z3) ... (again not sure about UK models)... but you can't program the voice recognition function from Steering Wheel via ASWC. Let us know how you go... and how it works!

    Is this a dumb question or is there no answer to my question? What am I missing?

     

    The line showing your straight line to destination is something that has always been on my Z1... and i've upgraded every update... z1 to z2 to z3 2010 to z3 2012... every version on mine had that line. not sure if you just never noticed it or if mine was just different. Hope that helps!

  13. Factory Microphone to Avic

    Just info for anyone wanting to do the same.

     

    I created a circuit (with overheat protection as well as fused) that allows me to power the factory microphone inside my toyota tundra. basically have 4 wires for the car side... (+5v, GND, Mic+, Mic-) and on other side (Acc+, GND, Avic Mic cable) (for Mic cable just took apart my Mic and took the element off of it give me a 2.5mm cable).... so hook everything up and it works!!! well kinda... Avic is used to unpowered mic... so with this setup...a whisper is almost too loud... and when driving, the background noise is amplified so much that it's pointless to use.... I ordered an attenuator cable and going to try to make it work... (seems crazy to power a mic only to attenuate it... but it allows for a clean install and keeps my truck factory looking). I also tied into the factory XM antenna so I didn't need to put my own on it. the GPS antenna is under dash and works perfectly..... so only thing noticeable that I installed is my Radar Detector :) If anyone else is interested, then I'll post more details (after I confirm the ATT cable made it feasable to use).

    Hello,

    Quick question for anyone who knows.... Install my Z1 in my new Tundra (not something I will EVER do again! I noticed after routing everything that I had the black end of the IP-BUS cable at the Z1 side... so the blue must be at the P10XMT side.... everything works fine!

     

    is this a problem?... I really do NOT want to re-route the wire and take everthing apart. TIA!

    Is a PM the only way to get the torrent? I downloaded the 125 and 132 files but I am unsure what to do with them. Repair them like the fella said and all is good?

    I am assuming it is a drive image. I have read the tutorials for unlocking the drive and am fine with hooking the drive to my computer. I don't know if I need to or not though. The unit came with an upgraded HDD installed already, it is a 120GB. I am thinking it will be unlocked already.

    P.S. This is going in an Avic Z2 if that matters

     

     

    Edit: Downloaded QuickPar and am getting nowhere. It says no repair needed. I have never used it before so it might be something I am doing wrong.

     

    You only downloaded two of the files you need... it's like 6.8GB total... if you have a newsgroup server you connect to. you can get the other files need FAST

    I forget how to get all the information... All i see is Version, CDDB Version, and something else.. only 3 items show... but it's 6.0000

     

    And a heads up ...

    Since the last map update, i'm sure many have upgraded to Win 7... well Arconis 10 does not work with windows 7 (Windows says something about compatability and will not let it run, tried changing compatability mode, etc... does not work).... Current version of Arconis ... Does not work with this backup. Map partition shows as 15gb vice 17gb... and it errors out. SO you will need windows XP for this backup to work (in my experience with it... may just happen to be my setup)... loaded it on windows XP and it worked flawlessly.

    Can anyone confirm that the software is 6.000 I put the update on my drive... but it just booted right up without updating anything... the last two updates... it said it had to update stuff (black screen if i remember right)... but this time.. it just booted up?

     

    only thing I can think of, was Z1 update changed it to Z2... and Z2 update changed it to Z3... this update didn't update that "deep" .... so maybe no "updating" internally after the update?

    Hoping this is available somewhere....

     

    I am wanting to buy a new mic clip... only need the part that actually holds the mic, but will buy the entire clip if necessary... but I do not want to buy a new mic.... does anyone know where I can buy these? mine got bumped by someone washing the car and broke the "C" part...
