I need help! I'm going to be installing my Z1 in my Altima and need to know exactly where the Pink wire (illumination is my guess) and the green wire(parking break) need to be connected. I've installed decks before but not a GPS unit like the Z1. I have the wiring harness' needed (Crutchfield). Any and all help is much appreciated.

If there are any Nextel/Sprint users, the Motorola i870 works just fine.

I decided to try connecting the 2 wires and it worked! Did the flash and now I have full use of the Z1! Thanks to all that chimed in!

Thanks to everyone that's chimed in with my problem. Just curious though...I belong to another forum (club titan.org) and I asked the same question on that site. The installer used an aftermarket wiring harness and I was advised by one of the members that the illumination wire on the harness is orange? Before I go into my car to hook everything up and maybe this sounds like a stupid question (as you can tell,I 'm not that savvy when it comes to wiring- lol) couldn't I just connect that orange wire with the orange/white wire from the Z1 together? Wouldn't that solve my problem? Thanks agai

Hi. Just joined the forum today and I glad to know that this site exists! Just got the Z1 installed this past weekend and tried to do the head light by pass. I have a May 06 unit however my map screen does not dim when I turn my lights on? I do not have auto lights. Can someone either direct me to another post or give me direction on how to properly connect the ILL wire so that I can bypass the system. Thanks!
