Just a few pics of my final product. I decided to ditch the door that covers the unit. I never used it anyways and I like the clean look it has without it, I live in a rural area so not really worried about theft as much. Install was a snap and thanks to the great info I got and keeping getting from this site. Cheers!

looks good, I will have mine on soon. If it picks up your voice pretty well right there, then it seems like an awesome spot to me. Was I right about how to get the wiring over to there?

I am gettin the 700 for Christmas and was going to do the install myself. I have installed other HU, but never a nav system like this. Just wondering if I will have many issues and if anyone has done the install on my car, if you had advice or pics for reference. Great site and I plan to continue using it once I get the unit even more. Great reference site for selling me on buying the unit and seeing the great community, always a plus! Thx in advance.
