  1. I've had an Avic Z1 w/the bypass in my Tundra for the past 6 years. 2 Questions: - Will the Avic harness in my Tundra work with the AppRadio 3 ? - If yes to the above, will the bypass used for the Avic (configured in the harness) also work for the AppRadio 3 ? Thanks
  2. Garret upgraded my Z1 HD to the 2010 firmware and maps - awesome service, quick turnaround. Less than 5 days from HD removal to upgraded HD install. Thanks Garret!
  3. Thanks for the response. Sounds like the new generation unit is the way to go.
  4. Haven't been on the forum for a while and am now in need of some advice. I put a Z1 in my 06 Tundra 4 years ago, and this past year upgraded my unit to the Z3 with one of Garret2mey's drives. I just bought an 06 F250 PSD and want to install an aftermarket Nav system - my first choice would be to find an Avic and put in one of Garret's 60 meg drives with the Z3 software. Before I move forward I was hoping to get some advice from the Avic aficienados on the board... Should I stick with my plan above, or install a Z110BT? I'm not familiar with the difference between the Z# series and the Z11
  5. I don't have a huge choice of installers in my area, and found one that runs a clean shop and does nice finish work; however, when i spoke to him about the bypass methods identified on this site he insisted the TR7 method is the most reliable. Does anyone know if the TR7 method will work with newer Z1s? (mine is coming direct from Pioner this month - Nov 06). Are there any problems, limitations? with using the TR7 method? I'm also having him install a DEI alarm/remote starter at the same time - not sure if that affects any of the bypass methods. I'm going to ask him to try the groundi
