  1. Shot in the dark but does the 700 play m4p files? I've got a few albums that I would love to play on the unit but don't want to bother with the SD card if it wont work. Also, since itunes just did away with DRM, will I now be able to burn the albums that I purchased before the switch on to a CD so I can listen to them in the CD player or on an SD card? Grats, Chris
  2. I appreciate the reply but I did search for a solution prior to posting. With that said, the unit I have is from Pioneer, I believe a US123OV (or something along those lines). Everything was connected to the "short" wires on the unit with no video luck. I got the audio working but the video "option" is still grayed out on the actual Pioneer screen. I can't select video as an option. I'll search again but any luck might be appreciated.
  3. Hello all, I did a search but didn't come up with anything relevant to my questions. I just hooked everything up in my Subaru (F700BT) with a iPod harness to the USB. I can see a song playing in the background and I can search the iPod just fine, however no sound plays through. Also, there is one movie that also doesn't play. That is the big thing for me since I can put all of my music on a card or CD, the iPod is so my son can watch movies..uh humph, while stopped at rest areas. Any ideas? I did set the settings, AV1 to iPod. Chris
  4. I too have one of the multiple card drives. I'm going to try and trade back in at Radio Shack for a 2 gig, non HC card to see if that works. If that doesnt work Ill a different driver for the current drive. Haha. Thanks
  5. I saw elsewhere on the board that using an SDHC card was OK, however when I bought one to upload the music too, my computer just freezes up when I load it in. If I go to my I drive where the disc should be located, I click on it and nothing happens. Just the "wait, I'm doing something" circle and it doesn't go away. Should I have got the 2gig simple SD card?
  6. I fear I've opened a can of worms (for me at least). My computer literacy is limited to drag and click. I'm pretty sure I understand the folders comment but am lost on how to make sure my ID3 tags are set. What does that mean? If wjatever MP3 playing program on your computer (i.e., let's say Windows Media Player) shows artist/album/title info, then tags are ste. If it doesn't you need to enter them... How to do it depends on the program you use... Ok, my media player distributes these by artist, then album like mentioned. If I have a problem I'll come in here...thanks

  8. 32 gig....whole music collection? I think my entire collection can fit on a gig, maybe 2 if I download all my old CD's. I didn't articulate myself very well but are there any foibles or unexpected glitches while navigating the SD? For example, now my ipod plays on my factory stereo but is...sluggish to respond to commands (when the connection works). Not really a complaint so much as a hope it works better than Subarus interface.
  9. I did a search for a review but couldn't find any info on how well the SD slot works. I've got an iPod Touch and iPhone ironically enough but don't intend to use those unless my son is watching video. With that said I think the bulk of my music is going onto one SD card (about a 1000 songs). How do you feel the 700 manages the use of this feature in the sense that, is it easy to control songs/titles/albums? Thanks, Chris
  10. I got a touch a while ago (I believe 1st gen) with the order of my car. I should be able to check this out on Tuesday.
