My AVIC D2 is dead I have a CD thats due back at the library. Any clues on how to get the disc out of there?

Since my d2 upgrade to 80 with peripheral interface on GM H3 using auto lighting option my screen illumination is wrong...

Its hit or miss depending on lite of day. Next time I pull the head will have to check the wires and see what to do...

Dam newfangled complex toys!

Since my upgrade on D2 to 80 series east coast. Having problems with location being off...

Tried resets. NG.

Its close but no cigar to where we are.

All regular tests ok.

Any suggestions ?

I hooked my ILL wire to the cluster dimmer switch in my truck. If I have the headlights on during the day in the rain or snow, I can dim the cluster lights and fool the nav to light up like it is daytime out. Call me lazy, but it works perfect!

My D2 has started to have a problem lately. When I shut down the vehicle it will not come on at times of restart...

Usually occurs after short duration stops. Anyone familiar?

Yoiu can watch DVD's if you connect the external dvd to the tap on the D2

Why not place a plain black piece of plastic or cardboard with a fold in the gap to hide it...

Dont hold your breath for the change! The D4 will be improved and the D3 will go the way of he D2...

^ I'm guessing he was using a burned copy of an update disk and it turned out to be a bad disk. An original copy of the update disk shouldn't cause this to happen.

What are you basing that guess on?
