OK great, thanks for the info. I guess I don't remember a fuse back there when I installed it. Something look at if I ever have to pull it out.

I bought a open box returned AVIC700BT and I need to know should it have come with an inline fuse on the red power wire?, if so what is this fuse size? It show what looks to be fuse in the install manual but does not say what size it is. The power cord that came with had been cut from the previous install and I am not sure whether it had one or not. Any info on this would be great.

My truck does not have remote start and it is a 7.3 2003 PSD.

I was able to go into the menus and select Samantha and it know tells the street names, thanks. I assumed it is a USA unit, just figured since it was bought in the US it was a USA unit, even though it's made in China!

I have an AVIC F700BT, and mine did not come with any CD other than the manual. I was looking at that but wasn't sure and the manual was not clear on it at all. I wonder what else this thing will do the the manual is not clear on??

Does the 700bt actually say the street name instead of turn in 500 ft? I thought it did but mine does not and I can't find any info on the unit that says it does.

OK here is another question for you. My truck is a ford diesel with glow plugs so after they warm up I can then start the engine. My problem is the unit is not all the way booted up when I go to start it so it locks up. So what I do is let it come all the way up and then start it and this works fine. Is there anything I can do like go to another power wire that does not go down during the starting process?

I did the hardware mod and all is good. What does the software part do for?

Would you happen to have the info and steps I need to take to complete this?

Hello people I just installed my 700 and did the 2.0 upgrade to the unit and now some of the ICONs dont work such as any thing under phone, also system setup and NAVI setup. There is one thing that I think might be the problem is that I did forget to hook up the wire to the parking brake could this be my problem? Most everything else seems to work. if this is it then should I hook it up or do the mod to it, and which one hardware or software. Any help on this would be great if there is a proble then I will take it back to CC.
