i can't disable edge because I'm running v2.2 and Apple has decided that I shouldn't have access to that any longer. i made a call this morning with my phone in the center console and didn't get any static. weird? thanks for the help! - j

i didn't try turning off edge. i'll give that a shot tomorrow and see how it works. thanks! - j

hey everyone, i've got a 900bt in my vw mk4 r32. everything works well so far except the speaker sound when using my bluetooth on my 1st gen iphone. i get minor feedback (buzzing sound) from the front speakers when my phone is near the head unit (near being 2ft or closer). in order to stop this feeback i need to put the phone in the backseat which almost eliminates it. anyone else have this problem? thanks! - j

cheers! i'm trying this now. i'm running gentoo (2.6.26-gentoo) and wine-1.1.11. i almost had a heart attack when i realized i installed a WINDOWS device into my car! any idea if there's an open firmware project dedicated to the avic? (a la tomato or openwrt) best, - j
