This is something that has also happened to me. Not as often as you, but perhaps once a trip, but it is not a complete reboot. I will be driving (after about thirty minutes) I look down and notice that I have the pioneer splash screen instead of the map. The strange part is that the music or audio never stops, so unless I happen to look, I might miss it. I have no idea why it happens.

I take it you are at Cartoyz in Richmond? Go with Diamond. I have both Memphis and Diamond that car toys installed. I upgraded to Diamond D7s, and I was blown away.

Anyone know what IBM Embedded ViaVoice does? is if diferent than what is in the Z1 today? I have noticed that the Z2(http://presszoom.com/story_124241.html) will have this feature. Will this be available in the Z1 to Z2 upgrade?

Is there any point in doing an update for Z1s that are July 06 and newer? I have noticed a few post that says the Ipod interface is faster and that there is a greater level of brightness/dimness. Or does the update just make all Z1s to July 06?

I have tried the shorters, quickest, ect... and it makes no difference. I just spent some time in Raleigh... and the Nav never took me the shortest or quickest .

While using my Z1 and choosing a POI (say a gas station). Why does the distance initally show a distance, but when I choose the POI the distance is calcualted - and then the distance is typically a lot further than what was initally said. I have notice that this is also true for items in my address book.

I have come to notice that my Z1 raley picks the quickest routes to a destination. It there a way to make the Z1 look at more routing options? Many times when I Z1 calcualtes a route and I look at the 6 options, the majority of options are the same - never giving me the true shortest route.

I have been using my AVIC Z1 for two months now, but yet to get the Smart Routing feature actual to learn my 'local knowledge' of the roads. I have been driving to the same location almost daily, but still does not incorpate my short cuts. In fact, when I 'force' a route by adding waypoints along the way, the route I choose becomes shorter than the default route the Z1 chooses. I do have the learning capabilites turned on. (I don't recall the correct name.) Is this just a gimmick that Pioneer was stating?

Is it possible to have both XM and Sirius Radio hook up? Also, every now and then, when I turn on XM on my Z1, all the presets are back to the default? Does anyone know what could be causing this? Also, it is possible to have more than just six presets? Thanks
