Yes, In the picture that you posted is the menu to the capabilities of the system. Like a start menu for windows. Click the settings button that you see. From there click sounds. Then volume. Then default mute and switch it to off. When that screen comes up you click one of the buttons that are shown. All 8 of those large squares in your screen shot are buttons to functions. They are very large to make it easy to press while navigating. Either that or you can click on the map like you did to close it. You can also hold down one of those large buttons in the quick menu and replace

That is odd. This is the first time that I have seen anyone have a problem with the install. Lets try a couple things. One go into the apl2/igo/content/speedcam and delete all of the files. Also delete all of the save files in user/userdata/igo/save Reboot and see if that works. If that doesn't work I have been doing some reading on the internet it seems that it can happen if you have a incorrect version of ezrider.exe. What changes did you make to your system up until now? Are you sure you are running 3.0? If you are positive you can you try grabbing the modded ezrider for

Yazon... did you use my install script? The install script should make it so that this does not happen. Do not install the mods like you did with 2.3. I have scripted and automated the process to avoid any problematic installations. When you extract my zip file to a BLANK sd card (or at least copy all existing contents to a separate folder). Just pop it in the avic and choose your version once it boots.

Yes, you can delete maps you do not use. For example I deleted Canada and living in California I knew that I would not be going to the east coast in my car. I deleted a lot of the larger files over there too. That made it so that I could use map changer and have two different types of maps for Cal. But that is another conversation for another day.

Diaftia's Hybrid mods V2.3 - UPDATED: 01/14/10

You should definitely check my 3.x version of my mod in the other thread. It has an installer and might fix any unit specific changes you might not have done for the 500 model. You can get it here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/30224-diaftias-hybrid-mods-v34-updated-012511-now-with-auto-installer/ -
Thanks. Been busy moving and working to get a release out but I know it needs a few things. There are three that I know of: Variable sound button not staying on Edit speedcam from the speedcam popup not editing the speedcam. Ext programs doing funky things.... like not running. Anything else let me know.

There are a couple ways. 1. Go into planning mode. There is a button on the right with a target/cursor icon. That takes you to the cursor menu where you can edit a speed camera. 2. Long press any button in the menu and replace it with the cursor button shortcut so you can get to it quickly. In either case you obviously need to place the cursor on the speedcam icon before going to the cursor menu. FYI you can very easily add a speedcam by pressing on the elevation sign. It will add a speedcam of your choosing to the current GPS location at the time the button is pressed.

I need to look at the ext progs interface. I think the scripts have some issues. I have noticed as well that things don't seem to execute correctly. EDIT FOR CORRECT INFO: You need to use the start application command and put it in the st_start script in start.ui. That will run it each time the unit starts. Like this: run 'START_APPLICATION "\My Flash Disk\System\autorun.exe" ""'

1 and 2. I will take a look at the script. There might be an error someplace. If you want to use my sys.txt just make sure that the device type, tmc and regional voice settings are the same as your sys.txt. 3. I have that fixed in my next release. 4. You need to edit all of the paths in sys.txt to point to an SD card. I did not do my testing here when maps are on the SD card but it should work fine.
