  1. Full screen cockpit is supposed to be minimal. If you touch the direction icon the avoid screen comes up. At the bottom of the screen is a mute/unmute button.
  2. Yes, In the picture that you posted is the menu to the capabilities of the system. Like a start menu for windows. Click the settings button that you see. From there click sounds. Then volume. Then default mute and switch it to off. When that screen comes up you click one of the buttons that are shown. All 8 of those large squares in your screen shot are buttons to functions. They are very large to make it easy to press while navigating. Either that or you can click on the map like you did to close it. You can also hold down one of those large buttons in the quick menu and replace
  3. That is odd. This is the first time that I have seen anyone have a problem with the install. Lets try a couple things. One go into the apl2/igo/content/speedcam and delete all of the files. Also delete all of the save files in user/userdata/igo/save Reboot and see if that works. If that doesn't work I have been doing some reading on the internet it seems that it can happen if you have a incorrect version of ezrider.exe. What changes did you make to your system up until now? Are you sure you are running 3.0? If you are positive you can you try grabbing the modded ezrider for
  4. Can you try doing it again and selecting the first option? Would tell me if there is a problem in the script for that model.
  5. Yazon... did you use my install script? The install script should make it so that this does not happen. Do not install the mods like you did with 2.3. I have scripted and automated the process to avoid any problematic installations. When you extract my zip file to a BLANK sd card (or at least copy all existing contents to a separate folder). Just pop it in the avic and choose your version once it boots.
  6. Yes, you can delete maps you do not use. For example I deleted Canada and living in California I knew that I would not be going to the east coast in my car. I deleted a lot of the larger files over there too. That made it so that I could use map changer and have two different types of maps for Cal. But that is another conversation for another day.
  7. Thanks for helping out Bud. Been swamped at work preparing for a tradeshow. Yes, all maps work fine if you are using existing updated maps. I include license files in my mods and you can use the hacked ezrider in my first post if you dont have one.
  8. You should definitely check my 3.x version of my mod in the other thread. It has an installer and might fix any unit specific changes you might not have done for the 500 model. You can get it here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/30224-diaftias-hybrid-mods-v34-updated-012511-now-with-auto-installer/
  9. Last I checked it worked fine. I will try again today on my way home. I think it might be carvers stuff.
  10. Thanks. Been busy moving and working to get a release out but I know it needs a few things. There are three that I know of: Variable sound button not staying on Edit speedcam from the speedcam popup not editing the speedcam. Ext programs doing funky things.... like not running. Anything else let me know.
  11. There are a couple ways. 1. Go into planning mode. There is a button on the right with a target/cursor icon. That takes you to the cursor menu where you can edit a speed camera. 2. Long press any button in the menu and replace it with the cursor button shortcut so you can get to it quickly. In either case you obviously need to place the cursor on the speedcam icon before going to the cursor menu. FYI you can very easily add a speedcam by pressing on the elevation sign. It will add a speedcam of your choosing to the current GPS location at the time the button is pressed.
  12. I need to look at the ext progs interface. I think the scripts have some issues. I have noticed as well that things don't seem to execute correctly. EDIT FOR CORRECT INFO: You need to use the start application command and put it in the st_start script in start.ui. That will run it each time the unit starts. Like this: run 'START_APPLICATION "\My Flash Disk\System\autorun.exe" ""'
  13. All of the icons on the map screen are shortcuts to other screens and options but the quick menu is the gateway to all features. That is why you can now customize it to look how you like by holding down any one button to replace it or reconfigure the whole thing at once via the settings.
  14. They are already included. Just enable the setting in warnings. Check out my first post for recommended settings.
  15. You are welcome! Enjoy! The mods have come a long way since 2.1. You should love them even more now.
  16. I noticed that FIleape takes 2GB files. I am zipping now and will upload as soon as I can.
  17. 1 and 2. I will take a look at the script. There might be an error someplace. If you want to use my sys.txt just make sure that the device type, tmc and regional voice settings are the same as your sys.txt. 3. I have that fixed in my next release. 4. You need to edit all of the paths in sys.txt to point to an SD card. I did not do my testing here when maps are on the SD card but it should work fine.
  18. Exactly. So if you go into the default mute settings and have that on when the unit boots it will mute itself. Also when you start or stop a route. Turn off default mute and make sure the speaker is on when you start a route. Then the spoken warning should work.
  19. Nope... my new version has its own installer. Just copy the files to an SD card and let the install script do all the work.
  20. Sounds like something might be going on. I just tested in an emulator and it definitely works ok. At least with the large poi search button being saved after reboot. Did you do the standard install with my script on your AVIC or did you do it manually?
  21. Anyone want to try another setting for sys.txt that might quiet our voices down a bit? Should get rid of the "Enter the Highway" prompts. [loading] supress_highway_enter=1
