  1. Can someone with TMC go into the regional settings and turn on emulator mode and TMC? Then go back out one level and click the TMC button. Does that screen show valuable information to TMC users? Like is it showing signal strength and options that are useful? For some reason this goes to a broken screen when eumlator mode is off. When its on the screen is rendered correctly. Make sure you turn emulator mode back off when done. Alex
  2. Too funny because I consider my mods some of the easiest mods to use because of the quick menu! The setting you want is under settings>Visual>Nav Screen Options>Signs displayed on map.
  3. Good information here about how the commands.csv file works. Still confusing but a means to an end. http://blog.world3.net/2009/06/igo-8amiga-voice-commands-csv-format/
  4. Anyone know what the difference is?
  5. The shortcut is a long press on the current speed sign. Everything is in the quick menu. That particular button is under the user menu 2. To get there bring up the quick menu you will see "Extra 1 Menu" then "User 2 Menu". There you will see all of the extra screens. The one you want is speedo. Alex
  6. From what I understand that is not changeable. Granted I was gone for a year or so. Is it more chatty than other mods? I have been meaning to go in and look at the commands in the speech file based on another post. Will check it out.
  7. Ok so it sounds like I need to release a small update that fixes that TMC status screen to look correct and changes the UK to GB for the speech. Will get on that as soon as I can.
  8. Not sure I follow. Spoken warning is on or off plus voice volume. If you mean the speedcam alerts themselves that is for the beeps you hear: - Camera settings: Any camera type can be turned off separately (no yellow border). There will be neither visual nor sound warning when approaching a camera. Custom Audio Warnings: For every camera type you can select audio behaviour * Off: No audio notice. * Alarm: If not going faster than camera speed, there will be no audio alarm. If speed is within acceptable range: In 1000, 450 and 250 meters there will be one warning sound for attentio
  9. Specifically what are you speaking of? Most things have a toggle in settings. If you just want a couple of items in the menu hold down one button and make it (or all of them) what you want.
  10. Hmmm... do others think they are off? Anyone care to comment? I can look at other mods to see what sounds they use and try something consistent.
  11. Ok so change to english GB. Its not consistent. I guess its supposed to be: [local] voice_key="Eng_uk_f1" default_language="english GB" So you also made the TMC stuff with the 2? tmc_events_icon_set="$tmc2.spr"?
  12. There was a post on dec 19 by dozer that said in order for TMC to work the 2 had to be removed. Sounds like that might niot have been correct for all TMC users?
  13. There isn't at this point. I know that I need to write something up. Its just I usually spend my time coding. I put the recommended stuff in the first thread to kind of help out a bit. Just remember that almost any button in the quick menu can be changed by a long press of that button. Almost every item on the main map screen has two features (long press and short press). From there you will find a little reward in hunting and finding stuff. I will try to get something soon. At this point I am through a large set of features I wanted coded. I will see what I can do. Alex
  14. Thanks for the donation Nicholas! Always greatly appreciate! Glad you like the mods. Option 1 and 3 are different in the files that it copies. The device settings in sys.txt that it copies as well as it does not install speedcams files (since none are present for me yet for Canadian users). If you have those files on your unit I would love to get a copy. Other than that they are the same. I do not include maps so what you are seeing is the maps you already had. Thanks, Alex
  15. Sounds like you might still have the wrong sys.txt. If you didnt do things correctly the installer will copy over it. Make sure you exit out of the copy screen (once its done) or now just cancel the installer and do not select an option. Once to the desktop navigate and get and copy the correct sys.txt. Alex
  16. Just delete the save files and BT should start working. Do this... start over by installing from my installer selecting the EU option (so you get the proper speedcam files). Then go into the SD card and grab the US sys.txt. Reboot and set the traffic option to TMC. See if things work. They should. Bluetooth stops working when MSN is started on TMC units.
  17. No it should largely be the same. I did some tests but the net was 0. You are welcome.
  18. I see you got things working. Thats great! Now we need to understand why it wasnt. . Some questions if tou don't mind (I work with TMC blind since I don't have it) What is in the EU sys.txt that broke things for you? It's so odd. Second, do both of those TMC screens work now? The second one is not supposed to be there. I will check but on my unit the link in pic 2 takes you to pic 1, not 3. I will confirm though.
  19. 3.3 Changes on 1/17/11 Installer now checks for disk space before starting copy process. If there is not enough space it tells you how much you must free up. Install package is now half the size. Installer installs correct speedcam files for EU users. (if anyone has Canadian and Aussie speedcam files I can add those as well if you post the spud and spdb fles for me). POI search around cursor now works (lets you pick cursor position). Also added map quick zoom buttons. POI search now has direction icon for the direction of the POI's that are returned. Long press on compass now switch
  20. You sure you are not using winrar? I had the same problem when I was. When you have a folder called image with AV/Common/Tel etc below it you should be able to right click on the image folder and say 7Zip -> Add to "Image.7z". That archive will be 1.3mb. Rename to image.res. Done.
