  1. Looked into it a little more. Looks like the RCA connector is different but everything else will match up. No big deal, the only wiring I'll have to change is the remote turn-on blue wire. The power connector is the same and so is the nav antenna, microphone, IP-BUS, and wired remote input. All in all, I should be able to swap out my F90BT in about 20 mins. I'll have to modify the RCA connector for the video bypass anyways, so it really doesn't matter anyways!
  2. Got anymore to say on the subject besides "no"? Like what is different? Really, the two I am wondering about are the main harness connector and the RCA connector. If those two are the same, then it'll all be okay.
  3. Anyone try a software bypass? Another question: Right now I have the slightly older AVIC-F90BT in my rig. From what I can see, the Z110 looks like it has EXACTLY the same connectors as the F90BT (w/ the exception of the iPod connector). Can anyone confirm this? I've been thinking about upgrading to the Z110 and if it was acompletely plug-n-play swap then I might do it. My buddy's truck got broken into over the weekend and someone jacked his head unit so he offered to buy my F90 if I decide to upgrade. Like I said, if the connections are all the same and it'd be an easy swap, I mig
  4. I have an embarrassing confession to make. All I had to do was "restart" my iPod. I feel like such an idiot. It showed right up after I did it. I guess I figured that when I went to the 3.0 firmware (for the iPod) and it restarted, that a restart couldn't possibly fix it. But it did. If anyone is having a similar problem, try shutting down your iPod and restarting it.
  5. My splash screen was retained as well. When it said I was going to lose everything, I thought I was going to lose EVERYTHING. My splash screen stayed, as well as a few other things, like my XM presets. My EQ settings didn't save, which was good, since I tweaked them.
  6. For the 3.0101 or 3.0? They were both data.zip files that I modded myself to have the soft bypass, the guidance voice mute buttons, and the nav cancel compass buttons. I can put them up here if you'd like.
  7. It's just such an ungodly huge file that I don't think you are going to find anyone to host it for free. If so, I have the .zip file on my thumb drive here at work. I'm sure the draconian filter will prevent me from going anywhere that would let me host it, but if you know of a place, then I'll give it a shot. BTW, did the 3.0 (and then the 3.0101) install on my F90BT last night and everything went FLAWLESSLY. The WinCE format, the file copy, the pioneer upgrade to 3.0101, and then the installation of the modded data.zip on 3.0101 - all of it went of without a hitch! So now I have an F
  8. This part makes me laugh! It reminds me of doing Sub-Zero's fatality on Mortal Kombat II. LOLOLOL! "FINISH HIM!" well if you are old like me, it reminds me of the Contra cheat code on Nintendo! .... You mean up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, A, B, A, B, select, start?

  10. Okay guys, some real weird stuff is going on. Up to this point, everything has worked great with my iPod Touch 32GB on my F90BT. However, over the weekend, I took my iPod outta my glove box to put some new music on it. I can't remember if I updated it to the new 3.0 software before or after saturday, and the last time I remember the iPod working was Saturday morning. So when I hooked my iPod up, I got - nothing. It won't show up on the menu at all. And yes, I have AV1 mode set to "iPod". It just has the USB icon grayed out. I double-checked and tested (keep reading) both the RCA
  11. Hey guys, new to the forum. Searched around and couldn't seem to find anything on this question. I just installed the F90BT in my '08 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. I was wondering if there is anyway to get video output from the iPod to play on the F90BT? I know the compatability list says no, but I was hoping maybe someone here had succeeded in getting it working. I read somewhere (Apple's website, I think) that the new iPod's require special components to enable video out. Something about an IC chip being in the cable or component that allows video out. If that is the case, I am thin
  12. Hey Tom, Just ordered a stainless knob from you. I had a $25.96 balance in my paypal account from a recent transaction refund. Figured I'd just give you all of it so I didn't have a balance anymore. Thanks man! -Jason
