  1. Hey Mav, do you know how I can alter your code so that GPS altitude and Speed/limit will display on both in-route and out-of-route map screens? I've moved the Speedcam warning box and now have GPS altitude to left of arrow (in 3D mode) and Speed/limit to the right. Now there is nothing that will cover these displays so I want to have them there on all maps, with and without route I am trying to figure this out on my own, but it's got me stumped! Any help would be great. Cheers, Mark

  3. LOL yeah, aint got a clue how that happened, often does double posts but this triple is a first ( no pun intended) I'm really new to all this stuff, a proper novice, but I think I've got the bug...... I will look into what you suggested in your last post, thanks Boris
  4. HAHA chill Catch, your ref to Deskstar is exactly why I made my first comment in this thread - I read that thread late last night/early this morning, and I thought it was funny as fuck. Serious case of PMT sprang to mind! Keep up the good work, and nice to meet you
  5. My LG KF750 Secret works perfectly with my 500 - pairs within 10 seconds, call quality is excellent, transferring numbers was a doddle IMO I think the glory should go to Parrot for their great BT expertise

  7. Thats exactly what I want to do Boris: enlarge the box and all it's contents. So it's time for me to learn how to do that too - onwards and upwards LOL

  11. Haha, that sounds a bit like a cop-out to me, Catch Anyways, I happen to enjoy searching, I've learned a lot in the past few weeks, and I'm learning more every day. This Avic has turned out to be much more to me than what Pioneer could ever have imagined! And I know I'm not the only one. Happy days
  12. All is well, I moved all the speedcam warning stuff and it's just where I wanted it. seems it was a fluke, I've used it several times today and it works fine. Now my next adaptation of Mavs' mods - I want to make the GPS altitude and speed/limit display with route, at the moment they are only shown without route. Should keep me busy for a few more hours...........
  13. LOL thats what I thought Anyway, I think I've sorted the Speedcam warning box relocation, took a lot of time experimenting with the position, and the box/background is separate to the items displayed inside it so I had to alter all the individual 'x=' and 'y=' values. Was easy once I got into it, the biggest ball-ache is swapping/deleting/copying etc. with the SD card. I'm waiting for the unit to get sat reception but its been struggling for 20 minutes now - I've copied the new DATA.zip but no reception yet......... Methinks theres sumat wrong, although I dont understand how cha
  14. Think you hit the nail on the head - from what I can see it will be a case of altering/moving every item in that layer (bummer). I also think the box/background sprite is of a particular size and I can't simply alter it in this code (???) and therefore make it larger and also make the contents larger to suit. But at least we know a bit more now, plenty more to work with
  15. HAHA I've jus came back after my quick trip, and while I was driving I realised all I have to do is add a Speedcam at my location! Then I can make any alterations I want and test them without leaving the house - ffs wot a prick LOL Anyway, I guessed correctly: after altering this > [y=362] to this > [y=80] the background box moved higher up but the contents stayed in their original place. So now I've got something to work from, I aim to make the warning box appear larger and in a different place. And it is in the 'warning layer', Boris
  16. From what I've recently learned since delving into Mavs' Mod, the x/y positions seem to fit in with where the box appears on the screen (in relation to where I've moved other components, if you get my drift). I think I'm gona bite the bullet, load some altered x/y values, jump in the car and head for my nearest camera - only about 600yds, so I should be back soon! Of course, I shall make a back-up first
  17. Yup, I think same too Boris, looking at it for past hour now. What I'm also looking at is the info contained in the box: if I move the box by altering its x/y values, I assume I will also have to move the x/y values of the displayed info within..... otherwise the box will be moved to new co-ordinates but the info will remain at its original place, or disappear completely - am I close or miles off? LOL
  18. I have the free POICON Speedcam alerts installed on my F500 unit, UK, and I want to move the box position when it pops up on the screen. I've found the relevant info in the DATA.zip in ui_pioneer/800_480, but I don't know which text refers to the actual box. I think it's only a matter of altering the relevant x= and y= values, but I'm struggling to work out which part of the code refers to the box. Can anyone help? Cheers, Mark
  19. Hey Quincy, what was the result of you sending your 500 back to Pioneer, did you get any joy? And what was Pioneers explanation (if any!) about the problem/fault?

  21. No, I was ok with the font, after much head scratching I realised I hadn't put the '#' in 'color2=#0000CD'! But I did sort it - eventually. My clock is at top right of screen, compass below it - my aim was to insert the date in the space between them. It's now sorted, so my next job is to find how to move the Speedcam warning box to another part of the screen. Heres my code for the clock and date: ;Date ;Clock
  22. Surely thats tosh? The biggest current draw on any vehicle is the starter motor: the draw from the battery by an Avic unit is negligible during start-up. This is why the unit switches off - the starter draws all of the battery supply so the power to the Avic drops significantly, acting in the same way as turning off the ignition. Start your car with the headlights on - you'll see my point........
