  1. I just checked over at MM board and this is a known issue which has not been resolved yet. If I had checked there first, I would have possibly qualified for a gold star by my name. Oh, well. ttfn jb
  2. Thanks for the response. I understand your suggestion, and I agree it would most likely work that way, but at this time, I would not care to go back to iTunes. I would like to find out if using MM to handle my library and iPod is at all compatible with the F900BT. It's entirely possible that Pioneer will require me to use only the iTunes utility to sync the iPod, and if so, I will just nod politely and fade to black, the F900 will go with my truck when I sell it, and I will try for a head unit that's more open standards based in future. I hope it's just a setting I don't know about in M
  3. Sorry if I was a bit confusing. iTunes, iPod, MM and Windoze Media Player all display the art correctly. I am not using iTunes to manage my mp3's anymore. I actually used MM to sync the cleaned up library to my iPod. All artwork continues to display as expected on the iPod and everywhere else, except the F900. When I sync'ed the iPod to the F900BT this morning, I noticed that it took about 1/4 to 1/2 the time it used to take...hmmmmm. Syncs quicker, art gone(?) ... connection? I tried updating VR several times just to see if it made a difference - nope. Ideas?
  4. Have F900BT (straight stock, no mods), fw 3.0, iPod 6G 160 with latest fw. Other than aggravating crappy screen and control response, everything has worked ok until now. Album art was fine (occasional art missing from tag, but easily fixed in iTunes). Started using MediaMonkey (latest version, Win7 64-bit) to manage mp3 library instead of iTunes (latest version). All album art 'should' be embedded in ID3 tags; spent hours cleaning up artist and art tags. Plugged in iPod this morning to update VR catalogue, and noticed I have NO album art on any tracks that have played. [Edit] All
  5. Just finished 3.0 upgrade - not a single problem. My unit is [edit] F900BT unhacked, no mods. I upgraded to 2.006 first because it says it improves future updates. No hangs on the updates at all. Went from Map 01.000800, firmware 2.000000 to Map 02.000400, firmware 3.020100. The password site was a breeze. Played around a bit, boot time similar, starts playing iPod quicker. iPod catalogue was still there, contacts intact, phone (XV6800 SmartPhone) connected quicker. Didn't make a call or test maps. The thing I noticed that seemed unchanged was in the iPod screen, touching the back/
  6. I just got an email that the update has shipped.
  7. I believe I can answer this now. I added 3 albums and changed a few playlists and updated my iPod. Turned VR Catalog on and it took ~4 min. to finish the update. Not bad! Thanks, Pio Neer. JimB
  8. I just got the F900BT also. I installed it with help from friends into a 2006 F250 diesel crew cab. Haven't done any mods, but I am considering the hardware bypass. I have a Verizon XV6800 which sync'ed up ok. The phone book transfer went alright, but I have what appears to be a common problem - the voice dial doesn't work at all using the name - it just dials what appear to be random numbers. Haven't tried saying the number yet, I just go into Contacts and touch the one I want to dial. I have an 80GB iPod with ~70GB of music. That took almost 2 hours to catalog! I will not look forwar
