Yep...it lags the same when I try to use the file -> open command or edit -> copy or paste or whatever I try. Really frustrating. Anyway, I did get it to work eventually but I copied everything from the flash drive onto an SD. Where is the data.zip file?

I've tried hooking up a thumb drive to the usb cable but can't get the input to show up on the source screen. Does anyone know how to get media going from a jump drive?

Sure, just post the pic...as far as I know, it'll only display at startup but there may be a way to show it all the time.
