So, is there any way to change the whole system firmware to fit to the region?

Hi everyone, I wonder if this is possible. I have an HD1 BT european version, that was bought before 2009. Is it possible to update it to a more recent version? Will this european version's maps work in australia? Is there any update to maps that can work in Austalia? Thank you

Since this is my first post in this forum, i would like to send my greetings from Greece, to all of u. Well, i am the owner of the European version of Z1, (AVIC-HD1BT), with all the known problems, minus the limitations of handbrake (This feature is installed at our discretion) I recently had this problem: I insert a .jpg picture in one phonebook entry, it reads it perfectly, but when my friend calls me, the picture is not displayed. What i see instead, is a standard pre-installed picture. Any ideas?
