Daytime running lights wont matter. If the illumination wire is connected, the unit will dim when you turn your lights on (or parking lights).

When the ipod is plugged into the USB does it charge? does the USB icon change to ipod in the list of audio sources?

I recently installed my F90BT in my 2003 Nissan Altima with the Bose system and I used this amp integration harness.. http://www.installer.com/item/display_i ... it=70-7551 It is indeed like the last link you posted and does utilize the headunit's pre-outs. I have no problems what-so-ever and it sounds great!

You're better off grounding them to an new ground instead of piggybacking, so to speak, on the existing one. In my case, my car had a large steel impact brace behind the dash that I just grounded the wires to. So try to find good metal ground for the parking brake wire and the mute wire. Then if you moved the pin in the harness, you should be good to go

I'll agree with the above. I have my F90BT harness sitting beside me aswell and your wires all look in place....just a little shorter.

Hello all, I'm happy to say I have an AVIC-F90BT on order that will be here in a couple days. This site has been great and I've been reading countless threads to make sure this install goes as smooth as possible. My vehicle is a 2003 Nissan Altima with the Bose stereo and I just have a couple questions for people on here with more knowledge then I. Since I have the Bose stereo, I have gathered that I'm going to need a special harness? rather then the standard.
