  1. You need a splitter or a second antenna. Has to go to the deck for MSN and to the HD tuner for radio

so i need to take a splitter and plug in the car antena to it while the splitter goes to the HD (for hd fm am etc) and then the other split end to go to the unit? so basically antenna to both hd and unit for all to work? thanks John

  2. had msn direct transfered to my new HU from old one that died (which had msn direct) however, now i cant get it to get a signal. i called them and they said i needed to be in an open area unobstructed (which i very well am! after all, msn was working fine with my last HU which was the same f900bt and same location)

the only diffrence from this 900 bt is that i installed the HD module with it so if MSN comes through antenna, it may not work! frustrating thing is, is that i asked their support techs about the HD module and they didnt even know what it was (asked on 3 seperate calls to 3 diff reps) anyone know why my msn isnt working? msn sucks anyway but the weather on it is ok thanks John

  3. whats the deal with the presets not showing up in order from top to bottom with the HD unit installed? all it shows when programmed is "::" or something like that. you basically have to guess what number preset a certain station is on? please tell me theres a way to fix this. If there is no way to fix this, Pioneer really sucks as this feature is really used alot. Thanks

  4. not sure what happened. has anyone had this problem or know whats going on? basically pulled the unit out, switched the mute wire to its new spot, plugged it back up and all i get is the fan to spin (unit gets power) the fronts and rears to hum and the subs pop upon plugging/unplugging sub outputs, and the screen is dead. Help! thanks! John

  5. Sub volume is not at -6 or anything is it? If its set to on, gain setup to +6 and the EQ is set to something like powerful AND your RCA cables are good you have eliminated everything that it can be other than a failing AVIC or amplifier.

Try using one of the other RCA cables or even connecting the sub RCA cables to the other speakers on a low volume to see if you get anything.

yea ive done all that. i have not pulled the unit like orig post says. so it can only be the unit, loose plug at unit or bad rca cable all of which are extremely unlikely however being a bad unit wouldnt surprise me. its pretty disappointingly slow. John

  6. driving at low volume today and subs just cut out completely. i diagnosed that it is the sub output rca from HU at amp. the only thing i can think it could be aside from a bad unit, is the rcas somehow coming loose at head unit and since im having the hd, satellite, and steering controls added next weekend, i dont want to take the dash off to get to the rca's behind unit. can someone tell me if this has happened to them? I also did a unit reset and made sure the sub setting was on "on". thanks

also, it seems like the unit killed my ipod nano i unplugged it and it reads "pioneer" on it and not functional. I starting to hate this unit. Help! Thanks John
