  1. Call Pioneer and report the problem, they will want the address in question. I started a thread in the General area that is very similar, has to do with entering Highway addresses. Call Pioneer, they will document the problem and give you a case #. They told me that they are working for a fix now, and the more complaints the better.
  2. I just got off the phone with Pioneer. They said that they are aware of the problem of losing the ability to type in highway addresses with the 3.0 and they need to collect as many Problem Reports as possible in order to justify that this is a real problem that needs to be corrected. They state, that as of this time there is no known fix, but they are aware of it. If you have this problem also, please call them and report it, the more reports the better. HERE IS THE PHONE # FOR PIONEER SUPPORT 800-421-1404
  3. I was under the impression that when I added the 3.0 I was getting the newest maps. How/where do I get the latest maps?
  4. I have tried every abreviation imaginable. My problem is not Rt 23 specific. I have tried numerous highways without success. I am thinking this is a new problem that came along with 3.0 because my wife swears it worked correctly before the 3.0 software change. I would appecate someone checking, thanks.
  5. Just tried to enter The word "state" in several towns I know are located on Rt 23 and I can only get as far as the "STA" and then I just get 2 road choices "Standish" and "Stanton". Has anyone actually tried to enter the address or am I just getting theoretical advise? I have 2 other Nav's, a 2008 Ford Factory Nav and a Garmin Nuvi, they are just so easy, just enter the #'s of the highway and you get lots of options. The 900BT is in my Wifes Expy, so I cannot remember if this was a problem prior to updating to the 3.0.
  6. I will try that, but what does "LA" stand for? I have never heard of either of those.
  7. Someone please go to their car and try to enter a manual Desination address that is located on a "Highway #" or "Route #", use a Highway # that you know. Let me know if you where able to manually put in a address, and do not enter the address using a POI. I tried using "HWY" or "Rt" or just the "#'s" and none of those are an option for me. I have emailed Pioneer Support to try to get a response from them, nothing yet . I will call Pioneer Monday and try to get an answer. Thanks
  8. I don't recall if I had this issue prior to the 3.0, but my Wife called today because she could not enter a destination address on Rt 23 in Riverdale, NJ. The Problem being that you cannot type in the word "Route" or "Highway" or "State Highway" or even just the #'s of the highway. It would go directly to 2nd street, while I was trying to type the 2 of Rt 23. What is the trick an address or destination on a Highway or Route Highway #? Thanks
  9. The SD Card seems to play fine, it does not cut off the last 2 seconds of the songs.
  10. 1st card went in without a burp. 2nd card would not be recognized in oder to receive the device code. I finally let the unit boot up without the 2nd Card in it, and it booted up automatically to the map screen of my current location, not the "Top Menu" screen. I then inserted the 2nd SD Card, and finally got the device code. After getting the online Password, the 2nd card went in without a single burp or any pauses. Works great so far, the MSN Direct upgrades are great and the music on the SD Card is recognized and plays fine.
  11. Just ordered from Crutchfield for $66.98 (includes shipping). I received an email from Pioneer stating that there's a new 3.0 update and because I registered my 900BT, I would get a 20% discount. Even with the discount it came to $107.72 (includes Tax & Shipping). Thanks to you guys for mentioning Crutchfield.
  12. If I do the firmware update will I have to remod the key beep delete I currently have on my 2.0?
  13. Thanks, I really appreciate that you took the time to do that.
  14. Yes, works great, the movie keeps playing in the back and over the speakers, and the Nav works just as normal.
  15. I want TV, but I do not want anything in the passenger compartment. I would like it all stealthily hidden. I have a universal remote that can transmit RF, it just requires that you stick the little RF-IR sensor on the face of the digital converter then run the RF sensor wire up to the front of the car somewhere. It may be over engineering, but since when has that been a problem.
  16. Is a true stealth install possible w/ having to be able to change the channel, even w/ the remote you need to be able to see the converter, Is that correct?
  17. I have a dvd drop down in the back for the kids, all wireless. I have the video out cables run from the 900 to the drop down, so everyone can listen and watch a movie on both screens if disired. Cannot listen wirelessly from the 900, only from the drop down directly.
  18. F90 can be has for $550 now and DNx9140 will be $1500+ I do think that a piece of equipment should do what it states in can do, but for a $1,000 difference, you can't really compare the two, apples and oranges.
  19. More love than hate for me so far. I cannot compare it to any other aftermarket Nav's, though I have had Acura, Ford, GM, Mercedes, Audi Factory Nav's. the 900bt is a little quirky and if I lent the car to my Dad he would have some trouble with the radio, it is not as user friendly as all factory equipment. If you use the NAV often, you will find that it is really fast at calculating routes and recalculating routes and it is very, very talkative. I wish the MSN direct could give news and stock info. The bluetooth is great IMO, only problem is that caller can hear their voice throu
  20. Mines on the forward dash front passenger side under windshield, works great.
