  1. Unit bundled with amp and ipod cable. Could not find any working coupons. http://www.6ave.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=PIOAVICF500PKG
  2. Hey dodoyjj your welcome. I think I have stumbled upon the reason we lost our voice navigation with the modified sys.txt files. Looking at the first line of these modified sys.txt files there is always a device type listed. For our units this line must be: [device] type="PIONEER749UC" where 749UC is the type number for our F500BT's. Next time you apply a hack with a modified sys.txt file change that line. I just tried it with the hack I was having voice navigation problems with and it now works fine. Hope this helps you to find more joy in hacking your unit.
  3. When you hacked the unit if you replaced your system.txt file with one from the hack try replacing it with your original system.txt file. Hopefully you backed up your files before you made the changes. I had the same problem with my F500BT and upon restoring my orginal system.txt file the voice navigation returned to normal function. I'm still trying to figure out what line of text in these sytem.txt files are causing this to happen.
  4. Wow, so simple. Copied the orginal sys.txt file from my backup to the unit and now all is fine. Give this a try pneumann.
  5. It's not a TTS thing. None of the voices work when a hacked data zip is used. Also, some of the buttons no longer ding when pressed. When the stock data zip is put back on, all voices and buttons performs fine. I edited out the mute function on the hacked zip thinking that might cure the problem, but everything remains the same, just no mute button on the navigation screen. It must be something with the new firmware making it incompatible with the modified data zips posted here. I think I am going to add each hack one at a time till I find the culprit.
  6. I'm having the same problem. F500BT with 2.0 firmare and no voice navigation at all when hacked. If I put the original data zip back on then all is ok. Any solutions?
