  1. Thanks the double din kit is the jdm version, straight from japan. yeah I'm looking into that trim piece, hadn't had time lately. But I defiantly plan on doing it. It's not that bad from the driver seat though. Looking straight on at it makes it very obvious.
  2. thanks guys. I did the install myself, with help from a few friends. I didn't use the orbital kit, as you probably know they're hard to find and a tad pricey. I actually plan on getting one of those knobs here soon.
  3. Wish the unit could handle gradients a little better, but this were I got before giving up.
  4. I have always like those GNs, they are like you said, "pure evil!" But yes I think the battle victory resides in what you intended to do with your car.
  5. HAHA The 2 cars I own weren't offered in autos so I guess I'm bias, but both cars top the car lovers lists, S2000 and Evo. Only clutch pedalless car I'll ever own will have a prancing horse on the hood (or the GTR)
  6. Don't mean to thread jack or anything but... Yeah I'm a fan of the M series don't get me wrong. I had a little fun with a new one on the interstate the other day, still can't quite keep up with me. (I drive a pretty highly modded Evo) GTR! now you're talkin!!
  7. Nice install! Man that grand national would toast that M3, haha but I agree with S4.
  8. Just wanted to say hi and a big thanks to all that contribute to this site. I have been lurking for a while reading and learning. This forum has been very helpful. Some of you may know that the Evo IX only has is single din, so I had to do some custom work to get the double din installed. It's basically relocating the HVAC controls. For search purpose here is how I did my install. Evo double din install walkthrough Here are a few pics. Before: After: Thanks to a forum member for this background, love it! I hope to contribute to the background thread here soon.
