Im really lost. I have gotten to get a video long time ago to work, so i know the cables are correct for sure. but however, everytime i choose the movie, and it starts playing, it just goes blank black.

Yea - mine does that too. I just hit the screen to bring up the controls and press play.

so for that, this works???? i m gonna try it later today when im back in my car.

Try up-dating your ipod with the latest up-date.

ipod is up to date and so are itunes.

I have an upgraded 3.0 F90BT unit, and for some reason, none of my ipod video movies are working on it? Music works fine, but movies, it shows they are there, but when I click on one, it just gives me a blank black screen the whole time!

Please, why is that??? I got all the video cables hooked up properly too. And even tried setting the ipod to "tv OUT" and it didn't work.

I keep trying to download the torrent file, but there are no more seeds, and its not downloading. where can i get that 1.52gb 3.0 update from? the unofficial of course.

can i just download the x90bt version of the pioneer website and use that instead???

wow thanks to both of you. i have done it and it work(ed). however now it actually says "playing all artists" no matter what i say...BUT it did work for like 3 times, then the car was turned off (after the vr update) and nothing had been modified on the ipod since.

to wenigwiser:

so basically the unit will operate in german, BUT i won't be able to switch back to english if i feel like? and what exactly will be in german? the directions? or "samantha" and how will the tts be limited? do you mean i won't be able to use my ipod song search?

Hey I was wondering if it was possible for me to get the German language for the U.S. version of the f90bt. Is it possible to download the EU version and then somehow extract that language into the U.S. version?

If it is possible, can someone direct me into the right direction of how to do that?

Well that is really weird because my last f90bt unit,before i replaced it, it did work perfectly!

This kinda defeats the purpose of voice recognition if it cant play the right song.

Does anyone know a fix for this or have a suggestion? Please..?!??

Ok, so i have noticed that on my f90bt EVERY time i say an artist/album for my ipod, the unit would most def 100% repeat EXACTLY what I said, BUT it would completely pull a way wrong artist/album.

I would say...."Play album...From Nothin to Something" and it would repeat "playing album..from nothing to something" BUT then it would pull up Artist Eminem, album slim shady LP.

What is wrong with this all the sudden? it used to work, now it doesn't. i have the VR catalog updated, and turned off. the unit repeats what i say, but plays whatever it wants to.

please...can ANYONE help me with this?

well i understand you don't like vets lecturing. but to be honest, i asked EVERY question you have asked when i signed up. you can even view through my post history, and I think it would help you ALOT. cuz i asked the same questions, got yelled at and some answered.

therefore, leet launcher is a little too complicated for you. i haven't even tried it out yet, but might sometime soon. its simply as if you put a new gps unit into your car. it works a lil diff. but its not finished yet n therefore some of the things don't work w/ each other.

keep readin bro, you will understand a lot. do a forum search of "f-series" and then click on hacks and modification section, scroll down to the bottom, and click on "sort on most viewed" and then go through the top 15 most viewed posts n read them. that will help a lot!

well welcome to this forum. next....it is VERY important you keep reading different posts and sooner or later you will understand everything. trust me! but for a start, here are some answers. and you can thank me later!

Leet Launcher is a new interface that works on the f90bt that was designed by this guy whose name is leet launcher. the f90bt runs on windows, so technically it is windows runnin w/ a software (thats what you see when you turn it on). leet launcher basically developed his own. see it like windows xp and vista. similar things, but slightly different. and what is it capable of? dude, just do the reading, you kinda expect it handed to you. its a lot of reading, but your questions will be answered.

igo is the actual gps software that runs on your unit (you can research all of that yourself since i have a post asking what igo is.)

tomtom and garmin are diff. gps softwares that can be used. BUT, trust me, your are MONTHS away of research to even be capable of figuring out how to put tomtom or garmin on the f90bt n make it work. so don't mess w/ it! trust me!

do the reading, and u will find out if they run together or seperate. you are having very basic questions. if you just read up until at least page 5 of leet launcher u would have all your answers and much more!

"Welcome back Dima! System is loading..." or something cool with my name in it that makes it look very unique and impresses people when they are in the passenger seat. something personal i guess.

hey yeah, i ment to say, yes its for an F series. the original pic was on like page 38 or so of this thread and it was for the F series, i just simply "quoted" it and thats why it resized it when it just got posted.

but thank you for doublechecking. oh and if you could make the BMW logo look like it has some type of raindrops on it, or in general add them to the pic so it doesn't have a dull black background, that would be amazing too.

yeah i had that problem at first too. at first it was the temp but then after awhile it just completely broke

can someone make me one of those w/ the skulls just put a cool BMW logo on it and Kenwood and Pioneer??? please????

if you look at the unit, bottom right corner, is a little motor underneath the gps map drive. that motor pushes a white stick that moves the frame in and out.

that stick eitehr 1) became unhooked (since it has 2 hooks, top and bottom), then you could hook it back (which by the way is very hard).

or

2)the hook that holds the white stick broke off, then you are royally screwed cuz you can't glew it back (too small). mine was broken, so i fabricated a new tiny hook by cuttin more off and replacing it. then reattached it down the lining, and then got f***ed w/ the screen. now i can't get the screen to work.

trust me, don't do it, UNLESS you are extremely good w/ small electronic parts that were made for hands the size of a 2 year old. its a risk. if you do it, let me know if your screen broke too. lol

yeah i did that w/ my e46 too. and i don't think i will ever do it again. the cuttin the heater box, recreating a new frame for it, then insulating....gosh it was such a pain in the ass! by the way, i fabricated my bezel myself, and it came out looking JUST like yours (which i believe is bought), right?

one last question. will i have to type in that password every time i start the car, or only when i disconnect the harness/power source n then reconnect it???

hey, thank you for giving me a page number. i had that pdf file opened before, and did a control "find" option by typing the words "theft, or password" and it didn't find anything. thank you tho

lol. i had the same problem. and as a matter of fact, i took the WHOLE unit apart yesterday, and good news is, i got the motor to work again, bad news, the whole screen is now black n won't even turn on.

by accident i seperated the connector that transmits the video signal, and now i cant fit it back inside cuz no matter what i do, it wont stick!

ok, thank you for both of you replying. however, i do understand that it won't be kept from getting stolen. im not a dummy. i just want to add the feature JUST in CASE it does get stolen! duh! lol

however, where in the menu do u do that? or how do you do that. can you tell me how u guys did it? i couldn't find it in the manual. plz just tell me how u did it on your specific unit.
