  1. WMA files are around the size of Mp3's so if Nero converted them to CDA you'd only be able to fit around 15-20 regular length tracks on the CD. If Nero left them as WMA it would be 60+ tracks. So how much were you able to fit on the CD?
  2. I've tried two different t-mobile phones. The current one I use is the Samsung T-809, I have also tried the Motorola V195 both have the same issue.
  3. I have tried many different mic placements, every volume level and having the voice come out of only one speaker.. no help for me.
  4. Thats exactly what I am experiencing as well... if my car is at a standstill the caller can hear a perfect echo even after a re-pairing and the update.
  5. maybe I worded the question wrong.. i meant if you burned the file as .WMA not converting them to the CD Audio format so you could only fit like ~20 or so songs on a CD. Im just trying to figure out the best way to get my mp3's to my Z1 HDD.

    WMA

I know this has been beat to death in these forums but i'm a little confused. I know you cant burn MP3's to the Z1's HDD, but if I took my mp3's converted them to the WMA format and burned them to a CD or DVD as WMA files (Prolly fit the same amout as an MP3 CD) can that cd then be played back and recorded to the Z1's drive. The reason i'm asing all of this is because this thread: http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3343 makes me think this is possible.
  7. Yes the listening volume on the phone itself and not the ringer volume. I've tired lowering the output volume on the Z1 as well but the point where the echo is no longer there I cannot hear the person on the other end at all.
  8. Hmm.. I paried it with my listening volume at its lowest and tried a few different Mic spots, still I have a terrible echo.. I'm not sure what to do.
  9. Well after some testing I have the Echo issue and according to my callers its pretty bad. They all say that they can hear a clear echo after every word. I have a samsung T-809 and tried paring the phone with the voice volume all the way down but it was no help. I havent tried the update but according to everyone it should already be part of my Z-1 since it was manufactured in OCT. I have the Z1 call volume three bars away from the max, any lower then that and I cant hear the callers. I've also tried different MIC placements but that was no help. Does anyone else have anything I could try to ge
  10. i dont see how it would be hardware if it can read DVD's and read Mp3's it stands to reason with the right software implemenatation it should be able to read mp3 dvd's with a firmware/software update.
  11. The reason I didnt test the update disk in my Z1 is because it is sitting on my kitchen table right now waiting to get installed on Saturday. Maybe you should ask our situations before you go on your page long rants.
  12. im getting it installed this saturday.. but ducatiboy's story is giving me second thoughts about running the install disk.
  13. I just bought my unit from crutchfield and i definatly reccomend it, they have great customer service and since the unit was backordered for a week or so they automatically gave me overnight shipping. I know when i ordered Crutchfeild had a coupon code for 15% off pioneer hardware if you order 3 pioneer items (I got the bluetooth and the XM units). I ended up getting the z1 for ~$1600... not a bad deal
  14. So what i'm gathering from this thread is that if your unit is manufactured after Sept 06 then it already has this fix. Can anyone confirm this?
  15. Does anyone have any experience with Navtraffic in the Philly area? I'm debating whether to get this and from looking at XM coverage map it doesnt seem like they have good coverage in my area.. They dont even have I-76 listed which is prolly one of the worst highways in the east coast for traffic.
