  1. My question is why does Pioneer have in place the disabling of most of the navigation controls by design? My friends have a 2004 Honda Odyssey with NAV and my wife has a 2006 Mercedes with NAV and they allow you to take full advantage of its controls while driving. I just recently purchased the Z1 for my other car and realized all the functions that are disabled while driving. In order to get these functions back you have to rig a bypass, which technically is illegal, but yet these other OEM models work with no problem. What's the deal??
  2. I purchased my Avic-Z1 from a vendor on E-Bay for $1625. That included free shipping and free wiring harness. I got it 10 days after the end of auction. So the Too Good To Be True is not always a thing to go by. I'd say I got a pretty good deal and I'd probably do business with them again and feel really confident.
  3. I read over your articale and I am in the same situation. I feel exactly the way you did. :? The situation I'm in is that my Z1 is already installed. I didn't know ahead of time that all of these features were disabled prior to my install. Although I did know the DVD wouldn't work. Just never knew the features for the Navi would be disabled. Now I would like to have them enabled. I have the July 2006 model installed in my 2001 Honda Accord EX. If I pull out the Z1 to make these connections, how hard is it going to be for me to utilize this Bypass? Will the wires that I need to
