  1. its usually the cost that is the deciding factor, and if i can get the D3 for $400 installed, it's pretty tempting.. for the custom backgrounds on the f90bt... is it the main screen (destination/contacts...) or is it within the source function?? i saw a few vids on youtube on the D3 and the custom background was for all the options.
  2. yes and yes and yes to all your questions.... thanks for the answers. i read that the D3 runs the navi off a disc? so in order to use navi disc must be in? BUT the ipod works correct? (while navi disc in) ALSO... does it have AVI usb support if i want to plug in my usb flash drive with avi movies on it. lets see...yes the d3 runs off a disc, however, it loads the route/destination that you need, and then you can remove it, so it doesn't have to be technically in. i believe the ipod should work while the disc is in, i don't see why not, but double check that with some

  4. Can you have custom background displayed for the f90bt. Also, can you change the lighting on the buttons and display? I have an orange display in the car and would like it to match.
  5. I can get the D3 for $300 gently used, no warranty, and the F90bt for $680, 2 yr warranty, and install kits. I basically want the unit for GPS, Ipod playback, movie/video options (AVI files). What would be the best unit to go for? Thanks!!
