  1. I have heard two ways on grounding everything..... Negetive and Positive About Both... 2006 Chevy Trailblazer LT 5.3L V8 F90BT GMOS-04 SWI-PS A. Ground Parking Brake, Mute, Pioneer Ground (Black), and Black from SWI-PS to GMOS-04 Ground (Black) B. Ground Pioneer Ground (Black) to GMOS-04 Ground (Black) Ground Parking Brake/Mute/SWIPS Wire Somewhere Else. I chose A. It works perfectly.....only 1 problem. if i leave my truck sitting for more than 2-3 days the battery is DEAD. like not even kinda dead...just downright DEAD, when i drive it every day and it only sits overnight
  2. I changed the video source in the AV Settings from iPod to Video went to the AV Sources selected AV1 at the bottom instead of iPod. Using the Stock Pioneer Cable and Running ScreenSplitr it worked pretty well, quality wasnt great but it worked just fine.... as advertised. Also Realized if i have my iPhone connected and everything set for ipod, if i hit the home button on the iPhone i get my menus back, then i can go to Pandora or AOL Radio or Shoutcast, etc and when i hit play it kills the iPod Audio (pauses it on the screen) and i hear my other audio source thru the speakers. I
  3. Searched for BOSE and EQ and couldnt find anything of relevance. I'm trying to dial in my F90BT EQ Settings to make it sound best with the BOSE Processed/Amplified Output and 6 Speaker System (Rear Door Mids, Front Door Woofers, Dash Tweeters) I can't believe i'm saying this but the factory head unit produced deeper clearer bass and better sounding highs. anyone with a Bose System want to share their EQ Settings? I Obviously need help. Can i EQ a Nightclub Sound System or Live Audio Application? Sure! it's my business.... Can i set the EQ in my car? NO! lol. Vehicle- 2006
  4. the F700 should have come with 2 harnesses in the box that plug into the unit. one harness has RCA's a Mute Wire (used for the bypass) and a Blue Remote AMP turn on wire, white connector into F Series. the rest of the wires...speakers, power, etc are in the other harness with black connector. i just installed my F90 yesterday. and have never seen the harness for the F700 but i believe the pink VSS wire is not in that black connector harness....take a look. The F700 as far as i have read DOES NOT SUPPORT VSS. the 900 and 90 do. even if u added the wire to the harness, it would just not
  5. pretty sure this has been discussed. the 700 does not have a VSS wire in the harness. it's not supported on this model. Even if you wanted to...look at your harness i bet there is no VSS wire. I'm sure one of the 1,000 post experts will add to this, but there's your quick answer.
  6. how about something trailblazer or trailblazer ss related. Graystone color if your going to include a picture of a truck. maybe detroit cityscape as a background? GM Tower/Ren Cen? lol. Even tho GM is trying to sell it. including 1 pic of my 06 Trailblazer in case you want to use it. If so, Please for the love of g-d get rid of the american flag stuck on the window. i'm patriotic just not that patriotic. lol.
  7. ok so here's what i did. I did the standard hardware bypass (mute wire moved and grounded, p. brake wire grounded) This DOES NOT disable my ONSTAR. when i push the onstar button it shuts off the radio and the GMOS-04 takes over..... this would be annoying if i USED my ONSTAR. but i do not. the only reason i wanted it retained and usable is resale value years down the road. i'm extremely happy with the system.
  8. not looking at the harness right now but why did i think the only other wire (besides RCA's) besides the mute wire on that harness was the blue remote amp turn on wire.....thought antenna wire was on the other harness.... they are both blue...maybe i'm wrong... can anyone confirm which blue wire is on the NAV/RCA harness? it seems the wires use different connector styles between the 2 harnesses too. so i dont think i can pull a wire off the other one.
  9. 1st of all i tried searching and could only fine one unresolved mention of onstar and the Hardware Hack. So i apolgize ahead of time. In my setup i'm using the GMOS-04 Adapter by METRA to adapt my Bose/Onstar equipped 2006 Trailblazer to work with my newly purchased F90BT The GMOS-04 harness has VSS, P.Brake, Reverse, Mute built right into the harness and in the instructions says to just attatch them to the radio harness wires. i'm thinking i need the MUTE in order for my onstar to kill the radio when the button is pushed. Is there another wire i can relocate/use in that 4th p
  10. My F90BT showed up by UPS today. i have been reading like crazy on here but am not 100% confident with installing this myself. My Problem isnt really so much with wiring the harness, it's the fact i will have to cut the inside of the dash in my 06 Trailblazer to make it fit right, also the SWI-PS interface tapping into the steering column kind of scares me. this would be my 1st car audio install i wouldnt have professionally done. Removing Stock BOSE 6disc changer.... Things i'm installing. -F90BT -Pioneer XM Interface GEX-P920XM (seems power wire is still connected to harness f
