  1. Thanks. But I think I figured this out. Of course, I could be missing something, but in "Navi Settings" I tapped "Sounds" and turned the "Master Volume" almost all the way down. Now I seem to just hear a faint beep throughout the system. I read a post that said that this will only affect the beeps in the GPS/Navigation part of the system, but it seems to be global! Very cool. If lowering this Master Volume will have any other possibly undesirable affect that I'm not aware of, please let me know. thanks
  2. Thanks. I found the thread and read all about how you have to change system files. I just got the unit today, and was really excited to get it. But I'm finding that you have to be pretty technically savvy (working with SQLite, finding and modifying data/system files, etc) in order to get the unit to do some of the basic things you would want it to do. In order to get the Contact #s formatted without the parenthesis that the iPhone automatically adds, I have to use SQLite to update some file and then load it back in via the SD slot, I guess. I have a mac, and my mac does not hav
  3. Since the iPhone does not have Voice Rec dialing, does that mean I wont be able to Voice Dial through my f900bt? It recognizes all the artists and songs in my iPhone with no issues, but I can't seem to get any Contacts recognized (the bluetooth pairing and load of all my contacts worked well). thanks
  4. Hi Can anyone tell me how to mute the "ping" that goes along with every touch point on the f900bt? I just got this unit today, and needless to say I've been spending lots of time configuring and playing around with the system. I am going out of my mind with that loud "ping" every time I touch something. If it can't be muted, can it be lowered at least? I've gone through the manual and can't find anything on this. thanks!
  5. so there is no way to just do a software bypass? even with the software bypass you still have to ground the parking break wire? I'm having the unit installed at the dealer when then do some other work on my car, and they said they can't ground the parking break. So I was hoping I could just have them install it and then do the software bypass on my own
  6. Thanks. I had been reading through the forums and was just checking to see if someone had a really dumbed down version. Tell me if this sounds right (from what I read so far in the last 20 mins)... I download the Testmode files, and then copy them to the SD card. Then I download the data.zip file and copy that to the SD card as well. Then I load the SD card in the unit, and allow it to copy files. Then I should be able to navigate to the data.zip file and find the "/project_config/pioneer.ini" and find the "parking_break_speed" value and change it from 16.0 to 128.0 ..
  7. Hi guys, I just ordered the f90bt. Can't wait to get it. I'm having it installed at the dealer at the same time they do other modifications to my car. They wont do the bypass. Now, I'm an idiot...let's just get that out of the way.... Can someone explain to me how to do the bypass through the software in the unit itself, as apposed to having to pull it back out and do it with the wiring? now remember, I'm dumb...so this would need to be explain to me like I'm 6... If this is just too difficult and time consuming to provide, I certainly can understand that. But if you ha
