  1. So OK here it is.

I am thinking of adding the VIA ARTiGO Pico-ITX Builder Kit to my Avic F700BT to network between them

1- Will I b able to network is there a software that will render the usb port full I/O capable

2 -Will I b able to use the Avic as a screen and therefore as an input device

3-Will I b able to use it in reverse meaning will I b able to input commands on my via and send them to the Avic

It seems that it will be possible with some modification of the usb I/O protocol and registry edits but who I am to know

  2. ok. downloaded the maps from gpsunderground, copied them to my avic maps folder... found an ezrider version on the web and copied this also with a licence... how come the dem files from the gpsunderground is a lot different from the original ones on the avic? there only is one dem file from gpsundergound... i removed them all from my avic and just used the one from the download...

first boot, the system would stay in "system starting please wait" and then reboot after 5 minutes...

went back into testmode and copied the basemap from my original setup...

next boot was fine BUT... looks like i only have the basemap loaded... the new maps ar not working. is this because of a bad ezrider or a licence?

    any help would be appreciated!!

look at my post earlier it is all there just follow it make sure u have the right Ezrider and License than follow my post u should b fine :)

  3. Weird. I'm having the same reboot problem, but I am using the hacked ezrider and license file that supposedly work. What I did was remove the building, dem, map, poi, and speedcam folders out from the flashdrive and then moved the updated folders from the download back on to the flashdrive. Do I need to rename the updated files at all? Is there something else I should do? Thanks,

If u do the “GPSunderground” you will need to clear the Maps (all but base map), POI, Dem, and Speedcam all their content should go

    1. Copy your 2009.6 to the corresponding folders (you might want to add a folder to inside each one of the folders on your SD card and name it “other” or whatever u want, where u can put the maps, POI, and buildings that u will not be using to save space … like that u can always install the needed maps when u approaching that area)

    2. copy the entire license from the SD card to the license folder ADDING to the existing license

    3. copy the hacked ezrider and OVERRIDING the existing one

    4. Clear everything BUT favorite in your \My Flash Disk\USER\UserData\iGo\save

Exit shutting the car off for at least 10 seconds than reboot

If the machine taking really long time to reboot or rebooting constantly than turn off the car insert the SD card and boot to windows go to the igo folder in myflashdrive and execute ezrider….it will take it some time...it will be crunching data for a bit... but once u get to the navigation setting screen you can turn the car off again wait for at least 10 seconds than boot again to windows execute again the ezrider now it should be much faster to get to the navigation…if so everything is working properly remove the SD card reboot again waiting for 10 seconds minimum and u should b able to enjoy your updated maps

  4. I'm from EU but I installed the US firmware...I think this shouldn't be a problem.

I think that where your problem is...this machine is very finicky and only will install the region that it is in...However there are some mods that will make it work with other regions (do a research on site) ...I hope u did a backup...if not try to install the 2.XX firmware update from pioneer that correspond to your area and start from there (it did saved me once from bricking my unit)

    ohhh...GOOD LUCK!!!

  5. Does anyone have the schematics of the machine…I remember seen it one on site but don’t remember where I wonder if adding another circuit will resolve it or copying the existing one re partitioning it unsoldering it and replacing it with higher capacity module will work and the same to the flash ram will do I can be very handy with the iron if I have to…

  6. can someone post a link to the file...I did the 2.0007 and the bluescreen downgrade but I would like to have the new version of testmode for future modes

Thank you all ...I love how u all so intuitive and ingenious

  7. sometime the sys cannot recognize that big of a volume after all it is ce platform meaning compact edition for mobile devices with limited capabilities...if u would like to run something like that look at carputers...they are individually build using mb, chip, ram, HD, os etc and Io ports -- very neat...but time consuming and u have to have the niche for hacking and hardware installation but never less awesome results than you will be able to do it all even surf the net on the go with the help of clearwire a buddy of mine has it and it rocks

  8. OK

I single handed wiped off my flashdrive and was pretty scared cause it render rather useless machine... but it is all up an running sweetly better than before -- here what I’ve done:

After I erased clean the flashdrive (windows file structure is intact….I HAVE NOT TOUCHED ANYTING BUT THE Flashdrive…if you did only god can help you!!!!!!)

I consulted with my friend who is working for Microsoft in the win CE dep’ (some advantages for living in Seattle) he just asked me if there is some kind of firmware that came with the machine. (I went din ding ding …) yes I said, he said install that. so I have install the firmware update (befor that the machine could not get pass the splash screen mind you ) then I was confident that there is some hope to the situation. once I follow all the steps about the upgrade I moved on to install the full copy of the flashdrive I had a copy of a plain vanilla flashdrive ( thanks to “another gsxr 1kâ€) and I use the copy utility “test mode†to transfer and override some of the files on the flashdrive. one another reboot and everything working like brand new something equivalent to fresh reinstall of window on your computer everything working perfect!!! So if any of you have some odd problems and need to reinstall the system make sure that you have

1 Firmware 2.0 update on one sd disk

2 Plain vanilla copy of the flashdrive before any modes and

3 Testmode files on the second sd disk

    than go at it

  10. is there is a way to do that ...since it is Microsoft platform afterall

Now I canot boot at all the systm just shut down while loading the test mode  I was wondering if there is a boot disk where I can just copy my good copy of flash drive to the machine flash drive I did delete the contant of the flash drive in order to reinstall a fresh copy so I am wondering how can I get to do that :?

  11. Having slight of a problem …I tried to install one of the modes here after the installation I couldn’t boot directly to the operating sys than I tried to back up and copy all of undisturbed flash drive but still no success the system wont boot over the splash screen and when I press the menu all I get is the main menu screen where the navigation blue tooth and AV don’t work I can get in to setting but only to system setting menu and that’s it I cant use any of it …Any Ideas??? I was wondering if any of you have an access to the nifty diagnosis tools that pioneer techs have :?
