    I have so many dem files and speedcams files. Does anyone know what is the latest for both of these files. I am near NY USA. Any help would be appreciated. I have collected so many over the years and I would like to get rid of the ones i dont need as you know that disk space on the unit is scarce and limited.

    The hybrid 4.001 update is actually based on the f910/f900 4.x update which is only for users who have installed CNSD-200FM upgrade.

    You cannot go from 3.x to 4.x with normal update. You can buy CNSD-200FM (which is already out of date, maybe CNSD-300FM soon?)

    or you can to use hybrid-4.001 method, which is just the pioneer update + latest maps/pois (your own) + some slight customizations.

    i remeber doing something like this for the 3.02 update but i also remember having to update the sys.txt file or something. i think you are the one who posted the firmware update. if i follow your instructions will i be able to use my data file with this update along with my image.res file? please let me know as i am eager to update my navi especially if start up is faster. i will post future questions in your thread. i am sure i will have a couple more. thanks

    I havent posted or been on this forum for a while probably over a year. I went on today to check for updated maps and suddenly noticed that the f910 has an update on Pioneer's site. I have read a lot of threads but cant seem to find anything other than the hybrid 4.01 thread.

     

    I have a couple of quick questions and would appreciate some feedback. Can I just download the firmware from Pioneer's site and update my 3.02 firmware to 4.01? Or do I just follow the directions on the Hybrid 4.01 thread and use that download file?

     

    Also will this affect my Mod. I am using one that I developed from all the people that have been doing this for a while but I am just a copier not a coder. I know Daftia, Ill Die Trying or Abb's mods are great but mine is simple and just want to reuse it. They have all helped me with my mod as well.

    i have created a whole new image file, but i am having trouble keeping the size of the file small. is there anything i can do to decrease the size of the files? any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I have tried using ipaq image explorer to convert the bmp's to the avic pics but when i install the file on the avic, the buttons are blank. Is there something i am doing wrong? please help as i spent weeks creating these images and would hate to scrap the whole thing.

    i keep trying to make the new image file i am creating at least the same size as the modified image file I presently have, yet everytime I use 7zip to zip the file to image.7z it creates it larger. I even checked to see how big the original image folder was when I purchased the unit and it is larger than the modifed one I created. Is there a reason why it compresses it so large. Is there a setting that I am not doing?

    Is this what you want? All it took was 2 minutes, it is that easy! It is down below if you want it. To make the 'push' version, just brighten up the contrast and brightness and rename it to '746_32K_MN-642_32b_push.bmp'

    wow abb1. looks great thanks for that. you are the best. I must have been too much of a pain in the ass and it was easier to just make the image. LOL!

    .... I have permanently added the add-on to my mod and used an icon with a run command ...

    Anyway, you know what you are doing :wink:

    Wherever possible, I will not change the main access to the scripts for futur updates.

    Hi Abb and Misterblue,

    looks like you got this thing going, misterblue. great mod and i will be looking to add this to my mod now. Is there going to be enough room on the avic to have all those bmp and tex, mdl files? Also abb, i would like to use your mod as guide while i follow misterblue's appreciated instructions above. Is it available now with this mod included. Just when you think you can't add more to this nav, a great new mod comes out. Great work.

    A year ago this was a much better place to be, sadly it's not the same anymore. But life goes on :D

    Everyone that is a part of this forum or was a part of this forum really did a great job. I too hate when I see please donate to the effort, but don't mind ponying up some loot for all the hard work everyone has done here because I too have taken peoples work and try to give back to this forum as much as it has given to me. The facts are that the excellent modders here might have exhausted all the mods that can be done to the F-unit and the reality is that in electronics things are outdated quickly and the F-unit is no exception. How many more mods can actually be added to this software. Anyway I am much happier with my unit, especially after I see pictures of what the ui looked like originally, yuk. In my opinion the fact that this forum has gone for this long makes it one of the best I have been involved with and have very much enjoyed corresponding and figuring things out with everyone on here. It is apparent when you see some modders go and new ones take over. IDT just needs a couple of people's help anyway. CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG, LOL. Anyway thanks a lot for everyones cooperation.

    @ gnasr74, Do you understand how to update models of vehicles ? Otherwise, I'll translate the proceedings.

    I did translate what you sent me through google and I understand how to add 3d cars, I have had 3d cars working with my files for a while, I just don't understand if it is possible to make a pickup truck 3d model. I do not know how to make those .tex and .mdl files. As of now I am using the jeep car but would like a pickup truck. I noticed you had some new cars in your file and was hoping you knew how to make those 3d cars. Anyway Thanks for your help though.

    I note that this add-on does not interest many people because the only subjects who post merely to sting only models 3Dde this add-on for manuellemen manually put in their notice and continue to manually change their sys.txt. In this case, find your own 3D models!

    If you do not know Poas, take also the setting that I built in my sys.txt and allows better positioning on the GPS map 3D.

     

    I do not appreciate people who do not respect other people's work!

     

    For over a year that I come on this forum, I see that there are more skinners than modders ! The problem is that many skinners say they modders lol !

    Dont' really understand what you are saying, but if you are looking for a compliment, then you did a great job. Not really sure who is disrespecting you, but I am not a modder, just a copier and I was just wondering where you got those 3d cars and how to make a pickup truck. If anyone has any info that would be great.
