i copied all your text fromt the fiel you provided into mavs data file and i cant get the avic to get past startup. i dont know what i am doing wrong

i went thru mcast25 .ui file and just copied in the changes he made to mavs file into mavs file. still not working. could it be that he posted the wrong .ui file again. i dont understand what is going wrong. that setup is perfect and is exactly what i am looking for. if someone could help me figure this out i would really be psyched. i still cant get the MAP CONFIRMATION SCREEN BUTTON to work. i know i am being a pain in the as*, but i just want this radio to work right for me. any help would be great.

i feel like a total noob:

i right clicked on mcast25 second link and saved his ui.text file to my computer. then i opened the .ui file from mavs mod and copied in the text from mcast25 .ui.txt file. then i saved the .ui file and pasted into the avic. when i do this it doesnt get past the system starting screen. it seems simple but it wont work. i have done 3 or 4 times.

I tried download mcast25 text file and copying the text into mavs ui file. i cant get it to work, it just gets hung up in the system starting and wont load from there. am i doing something wrong. it seems that everything i do isnt working and i am very good with computers. this is really frustrating me. any help would be greatly appreciated.

can anyone PLEASE post the original wav files in the data/ sounds folder. i overwrote them when i replaced them with the silence.wav files by accident without backing them up. I would really appreciate it.

i did what you said and downloaded mavs file againand everything works fine except the map confirmation screen. sometimes the button disappears and i have to hit the map button to bring it back even though it doesn't work. all i did was load mavs file in to the avic without any changes. dont have any idea why this is happening.

SO YOUR SAYING DELETE THE DATA FILE AND REPLACE WITH A FREASH MAV FILE OR INSTALL MY ORIGINAL DATA FILE

I TRIE FOLLOWING MAVERICKS DATA FILE AND NO LUCK. FINALLY I INSTALLED HIS DATA FILE THAT HE SUPPLIED AT THE BEGINNING OF THE POST BUT WHEN I CLICK THE COMPASS NOTHING HAPPENS AND THE MAP CONFIRMATION SCREEN BUTTON DOESNT WORK ANYMORE. PLEASE HELP!

i love the way you setup the radio, it is exactly what i am looking for. i was wondering if you can creat a data file with everything you have but i would like to keep the map scale on there. Can you either help me do this or if you really can do me a favor and create tha data file for me. I have the avic f900bt with the 2.0 firmware installed and i already did the hardware bypass. i am not very strong with writing code but i think i can do it, just dont want to f**k up.

i cant even select those 3 settings i spoke about. the buttons for those settings are grayed out. I cant select the voice i wanna use like samantha. I cant use the attenuator instead of the mute feature for the navi voice. so you are saying the hardware bypass has nothing to do with this?

I did this harware bypass but ow i noticed i cant mute the radio or change the voice. I also cant change the settings to change the mute or attenuator whent he navi voice is directing me while i listen to music. Is there a fix or did i do something wrong? Please HELP!
