  1. Thanks! still no luck uploading the part 13, ill, try the ftp site, Any luck uploading part 13 anywhere? Thanks, Lee
  2. Thanks Boris - I've sent out a couple PM's myself in response but didn't feel it was my place to post it here.
  3. Well, I tried a 2008.1 map, and it worked fine. Haven't used it enough to know if it's much different from the 2007 ones or not. It's interesting that I have another "2008.1" map, but it's a different size, and I haven't installed it to see if it's a different version. Still trying to sort out all the different versions, etc. Still undecided whether it's worth much effort... All the visual mods everyones doing to the user interface are really cool though and I thank everyone who's been contributing and working on those! Lee
  4. I'd love to try the 2008.4 ones, but every link I've been able to find is dead. Seems like I'm about 3 months late...plenty of links to Europe, etc, but North America is hard to find so far. Lee
  5. I deleted the original map and copied in the other one. Everything seems to work, I just don't have any streets displayed. The license I tried is GENERIC_iGO8_WorldWide@801Product.lic I guess I also should've asked if there's really any noticable difference between the stock maps and any of the other 8.0 series maps. I'd also like to know if there's any noticable difference between the stock terrain map and the one that's about twice it's size (referring to North America)? By the way, I'm concerned that I've spent so much time playing around with this thing Most head units
  6. Anyone try any of the 2007.07 maps? They're about twice as big as the ones that come with the AVIC - and I read on one of the forums that they were "better" than the 2007.10 standard ones. I tried substituting one just for my state and it doesn't seem to be recognized. I copied over the new EZRIDER and Generic license, but still don't see any map info. I just wanted to see if you could tell any difference between the two maps. Thanks, Lee
  7. It probably would've been more. Technology's a great thing, it always leaves you wondering what'll be the next big thing...probably internet access to check your mail and such, and a playlist that uploads from your home computer and the option to download music right to your unit via iTunes or something. That'd be awesome. Use an iPhone - headphone jack into audio in - use Symplify Media app to access your home computer's playlists - get your email - use Pandora. Yeah not quite what you're talking about but not the bother of a carPC either...
  8. The folders you see in the .res (using 7-zip) need to have an "Image" root folder - so the first thing you see when you open the .res file is an "Image" folder, then under that are the other four - Av, Common, Main, and Tel. I added that and it works fine.
