  1. I have the same exact problem. I am using an AVIC-F90Bt and it was working GREAT and then I tried starting it and after the boot screen it turns off. Completely off, no lights, no screen, I can even hear my amp turn off but the fan on the unit stays on. Does it think that it has overheated maybe? I also tried starting in test mode. It boots, starts to copy the files, and then turns off. The fan stays on. I think there is something wrong with a heat sensor maybe within the unit but I have no way to tell. I also can't find anything about this problem online anywhere.
  2. Take the e-brake wire (the green one) and just ground it to the car anywhere, along with the normal ground wire I suggest. Now you have bypassed the e-brake option but the AVIC is just a bit smarter if you have the speed sensor wire hooked up. Most people don't but if you had the unit installed correctly then the speed sensor also detects you driving. i suggest leaving this b/c it helps your GPS but if you are watching a movie then your not using GPS sooooo just run the wire through a switch that you can turn on or off. Turn the switch off when you want to access options or watch video whi
