i finally have everything installed and sync'd up my z1 with my sprint ppc 6700 and found a lot of echo on the other end of the line like what has been discussed over and over again. i did have my phone volume maxed out when i paired my phone. i have tried to do a level 3 reset but cant get it to work. i start the car, wait for the black start up screen. then i quickly pushed and held the "map" button. i kept holding it but nothing other than a regular boot up happens and nothing is reset. what am i doing wrong?

i do have a smaller plug in the back of my factory radio but i was under the impression that it was for onstar. i have heard conflicting answers about the location of the vss, under the hood and under the dash? sorry it took me so long to reply but ive been out of time and just started tackling this install today. didnt want anyone to think i dont appreciate the advice. thanx

hi my name is joe and im very undecided on what nav unit to put in my 03 monte carlo ss next. i started off with an avic n1 about 3 years ago and wasnt very happy with the flip out screen so i switched to an eclipse avn5495. well after someone decided they needed it more than i did, ive been looking for a new unit. im stuck between the eclipse avn5495 and the avic z1. im running a complete jl audio system and obviosly after dumping over $4000, sound quality is a huge issue. the 5495 has top notch sound quality and a greatly precise nav system but lacks in graphical display the z1 h
