booboo

My F700BT bit the dust. Right now it will only play CDs in testmode, thats it it will do nothing else. I am thinking I will replace it with a Z series. If I upgrade will my Sirius tuner, nav antenna, blue tooth mic, nav antenna and existing wire harness work with the new unit. How is the navigation? How does it compare to other units, ie Alpine, Kenwood, etc? Any one know of a good place to get a good deal on one?

All of a sudden my 700BT quit booting up. The splash acreen comes up for 20 or 30 seconds then everything goes black. I can restart it with the reset button. It will start up in testmode and If I have a CD in it will play it. I have version 3.0 loaded with a few mods but it has been running for a long time this way.

My problem ended up being the installer hooked the sirius tuner up to a allways hot wire. Once in a while I have to unplug it to reboot it.

I am using a hack that displays the altitude on the screen on my F700BT. When I park in my garage the altitude reading is different every time. Here are the last three readings 4612, 4632 and 4541. Goggle tells me 4597. Is this normal or do I have a problem?

Do you simply unzip it do the mods and then rezip it? So I do not get the wrong one, where is it located?

Can someone point me to instructions on how to make install modifications. I have a 700BT with 3.0. All of the mods tell you to modify files but they do not tell you where these files are located.

I just sucessfully upgraded my 700BT to 3.0. Now I would like to get rid of the nav and parking break warning signs that appear on start up. I also would like to add the "US Speed and Elevation Road Signs" hack by mgreinke. I know they work on 3.0 but I do not know how to install them. I haven't done any hacks yet so I am looking for detailed instructions. Thanks

All of a sudden the Sirius stopped working on my 700BT. I can select Sirius from the AV Source menu and it goes to the Sirius menu but I am not able to change channels or hear any sound. This is in a 2003 F150 Supercrew and the cruse controll stopped working at the same time. I could not find and bad fuses. Any ideas?

Does anyone have a hack that displays your current GPS coordinates? I would like to have the exact GPS coordinates showed on the display.

I have a 2003 F150 and a AVIC-700BT. I would like to know what parts to buy to install this? I understand that I need to cut some plastic in the dash, this is not problem. I also would like to know what parts to buy for Sirius radio.
