  1. In order for the service menu to remain displayed longer than 10seconds, you will have to force your unit to do a hard reboot. This may/ may not damage your unit. My unit right now has shit the bricks and I no longer even see a splash screen. I went ahead and did the following: (Press and Hold the reset button + eject + Menu + Map) Next release the reset button, your speakers will make a pop noise. Let go of eject after you hear the pop and then release the menu and map. Enter the code above and you will have unlimited and untimed access into the service menu to explore.
  2. For anyone else with this issue. Check your Switched and Constant wires. My Eclipse was preowned and even though I used a multimedia and test light, i switched the yellow and red wires and taaaadaa! It works perfectly. Must mean the guy did his own wiring. Lol. Thanks for the insightful comments and help everyone.
  3. I hooked up a 5" LCD screen and connected the power to the battery, the screen came on, however i did not get video to it from the unit.
  4. I will check again however I used both a car manual and a multimedia however I'm sure it must be because otherwise I'm sure other people on this forum would of said the same things Ihave said. Thanks for the response I'll inform you all how it goes
  5. Like the subject implies. My AVIC-F700 has never remembered any of my FM Station presets. Everytime I take the key out of my ignition or turn my car off and back on, it's like the unit refuses to remember any of the stations. For example, here in Boston i have 94.5 JAM'N set for just preset 1. I turn car off and back on or i turn it off and turn it on in the morning and it does not remember it. It does however remember that password i set, my bootup screen, my Home address etc. I does not remember the radio station presets or any audio settings such as Loudness being on. Anyone shine some insi
  6. PaQ that is exactly what I see however after about 10seconds my screen goes black so I have about 3seconds to enter the code and 7seconds to look through it I'm afraid to make a selection to perform any task because the screen goes black however the unit still runs until I push reset. Any ideas ? If I can stay in that menu for atleast a min I could explore our options more
  7. The code is: up up down menu left right - i did not find this, someone else did on these forums but it applied to the F90BT model. It works on the BT700-Series 2.0 Firmware upgrade [Confirmed] It lists menu options and has a tools option as well. My unit after about 10-15seconds from entering the code to my option selection goes all black including the buttons. This is as far as i have gotten and am wondering if anyone else can go further including keeping the screen from dimming?
