  1. I have both Cables. The Cable that came with the radio (Avic-F90bt) Charges the iPhone 3g. However, the video output doesnt work on this cable. With the Apple Composite AV Cable, video Does work. I still get the incompatibility message on the phone with both cables. I am running 2.2.1 firmware on the phone (Jailbroken).

    I have the cable that came with the unit and I can do both music and videos. It also charges. Last time I drove to OK it kept it charged for the 2 hour trip. It is also a non jail broken iphone 3g

  2. Thanks for pointing out the info.ini file. I changed a couple of mine.

    recalulate="Where are you going?"

    ask_recalulate="Off route! Recalculate?"

    offroute="Doh!"

    traffic_jam="Look out. Bad drivers ahead."

    overspeed="Slow down Johnny"

  3. Try changing your region to austrailia, then go through all of your contacts (on the phone) and make sure that thee are no special characters other than letters, numbers and spaces. If needed, edit the numbers (on the phone again) such that they are in the format '1234567890' exactly. Changing the region doesn't automatically cause the format to change, it just allows it to be changed. Then, re-transfer your phone book from the iphone to the avic. That should do it...good luck

    Will I need to keep the iPhone in the Australia region all the time, or just until I transfer the phonebook?

    Just until you have transferred. I took it one step further and left off last name and put in one phone number only. So I just say call mary. Then it says call mary general. (in outlook i set all numbers as other)

  4. It is good to know the reboot on bootup with gps signal being week is normal. I think coming out of the garage at work with gps fully on but no signal requires me to wait at least 30 more seconds to get to to not reboot. Looking forward to your updates.

  5. I installed this mod on my F500BT, using just the data.zip, sys.txt, and loading the new samantha TTS files in the Testmode folders via the folders loaded on my SD card. Everything works awesome. Except for some reason when I input a destination, and hit route, the unit restarts. Once it reloads, it goes right back to the navigation map. I then re-enter my destination and everything works as normal! Weird i know. :?: What are your thoughts? I did change one thing on the sys.txt file, the first line on your sys.txt reads [device] type="PIONEER746UC" and I changed mine to read [device] type="PIONEER749UC".

    Other than that, its all the same. Thanks for you inputs in advance.

    I have the same thing happen on my F90bt. But what I have noticed is it only happens when I start my car in the underground garage at work. Then I select a destination and then route. Music still plays but it reboots.

    Today I let it stay on for almost a minute. Looked to make sure all sats were green, then did the route and no reboot.

  6. Any chance Samantha can be made to be selectable for her choices you changed?

    Like default, humorous or serious.

    Instead of over speed limit. Your not Mario Andretti!

    Or any other various things

  7. This is my scenario:

    I part in the lower level of a 3 story parking structure at work. Of course when I start my car I have no gps signal. Music from radio starts and I leave work. Withing 20 seconds or so gps is back at full strength. If I select a POI and do the route it reboots but music keeps playing. Then I do it again and it does the calculating route and is fine. If I cancel route it reboots again.

    I have repeated this 3 days in a row. Each time after it works as well. If I am at home or someplace where I am not in covered parking it hasn't done it. I was using GTIMatt's mod and just recently switched to CMH928. I don't think it is the mod but was wondering if anyone else has had this weird experience coming out of a garage?

  8. Just gave it a go around town. Worked good. DId a fly over dallas and see some 3d buildings. Thanks to all.

    One question though. Will the files that were replaced handle updated maps? And if so which version?

  9. I finally got by f90bt to do a voice dial. Felt a little silly to actually get it to work. I think my deep voice is hard for it to understand so this is what I did.

    1. Turned off contact synching with exchange mail.

    2. On my laptop I changed all my contacts to just first name and used which ever phone number was the main one and removed their other ones. (Also added a 1 to the beginning of each number)

    3. Changed all numbers to be Other instead of business, mobile, or home.

    4. After manually synching iphone changed Region format to Australia.

    5. Replaced contacts on F90 and now able to place calls :mrgreen:

    I guess what it comes down to is the more you have to say to place a call the more chances for it not working right.

    Yes I would prefer to have full names and all numbers but this will work for me.

    Thanks to everyone who had the different tips to get my iphone 3g to work.

    From what I understand 3D buildings:

    1. Install hacked EZRider and a license pack from http://66.59.250.9:8000/GENERIC_iGO8_Wo ... roduct.rar

    2. Copy building (3DC) files to CONTENT\building folder 3. Add

    enable_buildings=1

    line to [debug] section of SYS.TXT.

    4. (optional) Add my setting.ui aтв setting_800_480.ui files to control building visibility on the fly 5. (optional) add some color schemes (i.e. Real View v6) to enable better building display.

    I tried the link in step 1 and it doesn't work. Is there another location?

  11. OK Ive downloaded the files for Texas and paste the in the 3d building folder. but i never see any, Now is this only suppose to show when im like down town Houston. Please help

    Where did you get your Texas file? I noticed only a few files in the building folder and Texas wasn't one of them. I live in Dallas area.

  12. 2. Create a new text document and call it "Launch Pioneer VM in 800x480.bat". Make sure you have show file extensions enabled in Windows.

    3. Paste the information below into the batch file and save it.

    Code:

    "C:\program files\Microsoft Device Emulator\1.0\DeviceEmulator.exe" "C:\Program Files\Windows Mobile 6 SDK\PocketPC\DeviceEmulation\0409\PPC_USA.bin" /memsize 256 /s "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 MSFP Emulator Images\pocketpc.dess" /tooltips ON /video 800x480x16 /vmname "Pioneer Emulator"

    I have made batch files before and don't normally have quotes. Do I need to remove any? I also don't have the pocketpc.dess and I had to change DeviceEmulation to DeviceEmulationv61

  13. I figured out why my date was showing wrong. On the screen it was dd/mm/yyyy.

    In my regional settings it was what I originally had. mm/dd/yyyy.

    While in the drive thru lane today I changed regional settings to yyyy/mm/dd.

    Went back out to map and it was what I changed it to. Changed it back in settings to mm/dd/yyyy and then back to map. Once again it was dd/mm/yyyy. So I thought I would try changing in regional settings to what was showing on the map. When i went back to map it was showing what I originally wanted. mm/dd/yyyy.

    So it looks like those 2 are backwards in settings. I tried the others and they were correct.

  14. I added a 1 to the numbers after realizing the names didn't show up on caller id. After transferring contacts again from my iphone 3g I can at least see their names when they call. Unfortunately it doesn't like the sound of my voice :x

  15. So far I am liking it. One question about the date time stamp. It is showing day/month/year.

    Even though I have my regional settings as month/day/year.

    I also had to put the original data.zip back on so I could edit a stop light camera.

    Keep up the good work.

  16. After putting in my HD radio module I decided to give your mod a try. Haven't driven anywhere but appears to be working. Am a little worried though because my gps was showing weak to average signal. But after a few minutes it went up to high. I hope I didn't knock it down from where I had it mounted in the dash.

    So good job on all you did.
